Splatoon Raiders has an official release date! Discover what awaits players in the latest addition to the Splatoon series.
Splatoon Raiders Release Date Announcement
Launches July 23, 2026
Nintendo fans have plenty to look forward to this summer, as the company has finally pulled back the curtain on Splatoon Raiders, the upcoming "single-player-focused" spin-off, arriving for the Nintendo Switch 2 this July 23. The announcement came via Nintendo's social media channels and the Nintendo Today! app after months of silence regarding the title.
Although many assumed the game would be a strictly solo experience, thanks in part to the release date trailer indicating so, that is not the case. According to official details from Nintendo, the game supports online and local wireless play for up to four people. As the "Mechanic," players are tasked with exploring Spirhalite Islands, where they will have to work with their team to "splat down on waves of enemies called Salmonids" and salvage treasure.
To help get the job done, the game introduces a variety of new gadgets and weapons. Players can expect to utilize tools like automatic turrets and axe-like weaponry, as well as an offensive shoulder charge, all while customizing their appearance and loadouts. Returning faces from Splatoon 3 are Frye, Shiver, and Big Man, who are also known as the "Deep Cut—a trio of swashbuckling musicians."

As reported last month, Nintendo will charge less for digital first-party Switch 2 titles. Splatoon Raiders will follow suit: the digital version will cost $49.99, while the physical edition will cost $59.99.
Nintendo explained via their official website that this is because of "the different costs associated with producing and distributing each format." Producing physical cartridges involves tangible expenses. Digital versions, by contrast, avoid these manufacturing costs. This "offers players more choice in how they can buy and play Nintendo games."

Splatoon Raiders Amiibo Pre-Orders Now Live
Alongside the game’s release, Nintendo is launching a new set of Amiibo figures featuring the Deep Cut trio. These figures show the characters in their more rugged outfits that match their roles as swashbuckling explorers in the upcoming game. Fans can pre-order them individually, with each figure priced at $25.
Although these collectibles are designed to look great on their own, according to the official Splatoon Twitter (X) account, the bases of the three figures can be slotted together to create an interconnected display stand.
As of now, Nintendo has not yet revealed exactly what these Amiibo will unlock in Splatoon Raiders. Past Amiibo in the series have given exclusive gear or game features. such as the Splatoon 3 Deep Cut set, which granted players exclusive character-themed clothing and the ability to save custom gear loadouts directly to the figure for quick access.

Regardless of their specific in-game use for Raiders, the figures are already available for pre-order and may just be the perfect companion pieces for collectors who want to celebrate the launch of the new adventure on July 23.
