Resident Evil 1-3 Launches With 50% Discount
Capcom kicks off its publisher Spring Sale on Steam with the release of Resident Evil (RE), Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. After years of clamor from fans of the franchise, the first three classic RE titles are now available on Steam for $9.99 each, with a 50% discount.
Before this release, the original Resident Evil trilogy was only available for PC via GOG.com, where it had been updated for modern systems. The new Steam versions of RE1–3 now include several quality-of-life improvements, such as rendering options, controller support, and expanded localization support.
Additionally, these titles feature a wider array of graphical settings, including adjustable display modes, scaling methods, antialiasing, and anisotropic filtering. These updates ensure that the classic survival horror experience remains both authentic and accessible for a new generation of players.
Breath of Fire 4 and Other Featured Games
Aside from the Steam release of RE 1-3, Capcom has also launched the classic tactical RPG, Breath of Fire 4 (BoF4). First released in 2000 for PlayStation, the game was also re-released on GOG.com last year as part of the website’s ongoing preservation program.
Furthermore, the Capcom Spring Sale features several bundles from the studio’s hit franchises, such as Devil May Cry, Dead Rising, Mega Man, and Ace Attorney. Each pack includes multiple titles from its respective series, bundled together for significant savings with discounts ranging from 53% to 72%.
While not currently on sale, Capcom also highlighted several of its recent hits, including Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the newly launched Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, and the upcoming sci-fi action-adventure, Pragmata. Additionally, the studio provided updates on two highly anticipated projects: Onimusha: Way of the Sword, slated for 2026, and Mega Man: Dual Override, arriving in 2027.
