Pokémon and Target reveal the next set of Pokémon’s 30th-anniversary celebration collection. Learn more about the lineup and details here.

Pokémon and Target Collaboration Continue to Celebrate Pokémon Community

Available Online and in Target Stores on June 6

Pokémon and Target are returning with the second wave of their limited-time 30th anniversary merchandise collection. Drop 2 launches on June 6, 2026, and will be available in most Target stores at opening hours, as well as online starting at 8:00 AM CT / 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET. The collection features over 40 new products across apparel, accessories, collectibles, and summer goods, all "designed for fans, by fans."

Because stock will be limited, purchases are restricted to one item per guest. Fans interested in the collection are encouraged to preview the lineup ahead of launch and prepare early, as many items are expected to sell out quickly, similar to the first drop.

Johto, Hoenn, and More Join the Lineup

Gigi Guerra, Target’s vice president of creative curation, describes Drop 2 as "another love letter to Pokémon fans." They approached each element and design with thoughtful consideration, making something that rewards closer inspection and enjoyment from engaging with the finer details of each item.

Among the highlights are the new Hoenn and Johto additions to the Starter Jacket line. Each jacket’s colors pay homage to their respective games, with Johto’s mainly sporting a shiny gold embellished with silver accents, while Hoenn’s theme is a colorful mix of ruby red, sapphire blue, and emerald green. Apart from the jackets, a series of Pokédex-inspired graphic tees with Snorlax, Munchlax, Pichu, and Psyduck each hide a bonus drawing of the Pokémon on the inside that’s only seen when flipped.

Other items in the collection showcase a wide variety of merchandise, ranging from accessories to gadgets. Posts on X (Twitter) have already sparked discussions surrounding the new merchandise, with many fans pointing out the water-resistant Dive Ball speaker as one of the more fitting and creative additions. According to Target’s creative team, the collection was designed with both longtime Trainers and newer fans in mind, aiming to create products that feel meaningful to different generations of Pokémon fans.

Pokémon Goes Beyond Gaming with New Collabs and Events

This second Target drop is only one part of a much larger group of partnerships and events Pokémon has introduced for the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebration. The first wave announcement of the Target collection originally launched in early May and featured over 100 exclusive products across apparel, accessories, lifestyle items, food, and beverages.

Outside of retail collaborations, Pokémon has also continued expanding into tech and real-world experiences. Recently, Pokémon and Anker announced a new lineup of Pikachu and Eevee-themed gadgets scheduled to release in Japan in July 2026. While the products currently have no confirmed global release, the partnership reflects Pokémon’s broader effort to bring the franchise into more parts of everyday life.

That same direction can also be seen through events such as Pokémon Day Out, Pokémon Night Out, the Pokémon Fossil Museum in Chicago, and the Pokémon Astronomical Observatory currently touring across Japan. With the growing number of events and partnerships, The Pokémon Company continues to take further strides to integrate Pokémon into fans’ daily lives as the franchise celebrates 30 years and its community.
