Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations are currently in full swing. The franchise has just unveiled two new Pokémon-themed passenger planes in collaboration with All Nippon Airways (ANA) and a line of luxury Rimowa luggage accessories as part of its year-long commemorative festivities.

ANA announced plans for three new Pokémon-themed jets back in February. On May 28, two of three designs were officially revealed through official Pokémon and ANA channels.

The Red and Green jets, featuring fire-type and grass-type starter Pokémon, respectively (alongside the iconic Pikachu), are set to fly domestically and internationally in late July. Each plane features similarly themed limited-edition cup holders, headrest covers, and cocktail napkins for international flights. Pokémon-themed in-flight music will also play on board.

The Blue jet and an exclusive commemorative item for passengers flying on these new planes have yet to be revealed. An official aircraft unveiling event is expected to be announced soon.

The official ANA website also teases the inclusion of the three starter Pokémon from the upcoming mainline games, Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves. However, Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua have not been featured in any of the aircraft designs released so far.

Pokémon then announced another high-profile collaboration on May 28. Keeping with the aviation theme, luxury luggage brand Rimowa revealed a line of Pokémon-themed luggage accessories through its official channels.

The line includes three different luggage tags featuring Pikachu, Charmander, and Charizard. Also available are a Pokéball wheel set and a sticker set with Pikachu and the original starter trio, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle.

The collection is set to launch on June 2 at 4 PM JST / 3 AM EST in physical Rimowa stores and outlets across Japan and will be available worldwide through the Rimowa online store simultaneously.

Pokémon’s Most High-Profile and High-End Anniversary Collabs So Far

Pokémon has spared no expense in celebrating its 30th year. The franchise has ventured outside gaming for the festivities, partnering with massive global brands in toys, food, fashion, and even lifestyle.

Lego began rolling out its 30th anniversary collaboration sets in January 2026, starting with buildable models featuring fan favorites, Pikachu, Eevee, Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise.

Future drops have yet to be announced. However, fans speculate that this is the beginning of a long partnership between Lego and Pokémon.

    Pokémon x Food, Fashion

On May 12, The Hershey Company released limited-time Hershey’s Kisses with 151 collectible Pokémon and Team Rocket foil designs. A collaboration with McDonald’s was also rumored in 2025 after a post on the long-running Pokémon fan website PokeBeach, but it did not push through.

The Pokémon Company’s apparent push towards expanding Pokémon beyond gaming has brought the franchise into the realm of high-end fashion. Fans can now carry Pokémon on their back, so to speak, via 30th anniversary collaborations with wearable brands from earlier this year.

In February, Australian luxury brand Maison de Sabré released a Pokémon-themed collection, including a fine leather bag with a Pikachu motif and a range of wallets and charms. In the same month, designer JimmyPaul presented a Pokémon-inspired collection during London Fashion Week.

Puma later launched a line of shoes and clothing featuring Pikachu, Mimikyu, Espeon, and Umbreon in April. The collection repeatedly went viral on social media among fans, who were excited to get wearable Pokémon merchandise from an accessible brand.

    Pokémon x Lifestyle, Immersive Experiences

The Pokémon Company is also pursuing interactive experiences with lifestyle brands. The Pokémon Day In and Day Out events were launched in February 2026, followed by the announcement of the Pokémon Astronomical Observatory and the Pokémon Fossil Museum’s Chicago stay in May.

Luxury hotel Grand Hyatt Tokyo launched Pokémon-themed summer booking packages back in April. The limited-time bookings will feature suits decked out in Pokémon decor. Guests will receive exclusive 30th anniversary Pokémon merch and Pikachu-themed breakfast and burger sets.

Most recently, The Pokémon Company launched an immersive experience that will allow fans to "experience the world of Pokémon as a Pokémon trainer" in collaboration with Japanese real estate developer Mitsui Fudosan and multimedia entertainment studio Moment Factory. The tour is set to debut in Europe in Spring 2027.

More Pokémon 30th anniversary collaborations are set to drop throughout the year. Keep an eye on our website for more updates!
