Pikmin Bloom is kicking off its Midsommar Festival Event on June 1. Here's what players can expect from the month-long event.
Pikmin Bloom Midsommar Festival Event
Runs From June 1 to June 30
Pikmin Bloom will hold its in-game Midsommar Festival Event from June 1, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. local time to June 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time, featuring Flower Crown Decor Pikmin, themed missions, Mii costumes, returning summer Decor Pikmin sets, and other limited-time rewards.
During the event, players have to clear Event Challenge missions to earn rewards such as flower petals, Pickled Herrings, seedlings that grow into Flower Crown Decor Pikmin, and other items. Decor Pikmin are special Pikmin that wear costumes inspired by the types of real-world locations where they were found. Event Challenges will be unlocked starting at Level 5.
Each Event Challenge stage features a large Big Flower displayed at the center of the event screen, which gradually grows as missions are completed. Once all missions in the stage have been cleared, the Big Flower will bloom and reward a guaranteed Gold Seedling on top of the random mission rewards. Gold Seedlings instantly grow into Decor Pikmin without requiring players to raise friendship levels first.
Pickled Herrings and Mysterious Mushrooms
At the start of the event, players will receive two Pickled Herring mission tracks that can be cleared for different rewards. One track will reward event-inspired Mii costumes, while the other will allow players to choose rewards that include Surfboard Keychain and Puzzle: 2023 Summer Memories Decor Pikmin seedlings alongside other items. Each mission in these tracks requires collecting 600 Pickled Herrings to clear.
Pickled Herrings can also be earned through Event Challenge rewards, flower planting, Mystery Boxes obtained from defeating Mysterious Mushrooms, and with the purchase of an Event Premium Pass, a limited-time bundle pack, or a Web Store Exclusive Bundle Pack. Once the event ends, the Pickled Herring missions will disappear, and the currency will no longer have any use.
Limited-time Mysterious Mushrooms will appear during the event and reward Mystery Boxes containing Pickled Herrings and other items when destroyed. Flower Crown, Surfboard Keychain, Puzzle: 2023 Summer Memories, and Puzzle: 2022 Summer Memories Decor Pikmin will all be strongest against these mushrooms during the event. However, Puzzle: 2022 Summer Memories Decor Pikmin seedlings will not be obtainable through event missions and can only be acquired through Special Mission Tickets available in the in-game shop.
Giant Mysterious Mushrooms containing rarer Mystery Boxes will also appear on select weekends throughout June, including Monday and Tuesday during the final week. During these periods, the Mushroom Battle Bullhorn can also be used up to three times daily, allowing players to invite friends and other players into mushroom battles more frequently. Giant Mysterious Mushrooms will appear on the following dates:

The in-game shop will also offer limited-time event items throughout the Midsommar Festival Event, including Flower Packs, Event Gift Packs, and Special Mission Tickets for several Decor Pikmin collections. Players can also invite friends between June 1 and June 30 to receive Gold Seedlings that grow into one of the eight Flower Crown Decor Pikmin types.
Event Premium Pass and Early Bird Bonus
Players can also purchase an optional Event Premium Pass to receive additional rewards throughout the Midsommar Festival Event. Pass holders will earn extra seasonal nectar after clearing Event Challenge stages, which can be used to grow flowers and collect petals needed for event-related tasks. Clearing every fourth stage will also reward an additional Gold Seedling in a selected Flower Crown Decor Pikmin color, including Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Pink, Gray, and Ice Blue variants.
The Premium Pass is only available to players who are at least Level 20, though its rewards apply retroactively to previously cleared Event Challenge missions after purchase. Players who obtain the Event Premium Pass before June 7 at 11:59 p.m. local time will also receive 500 bonus Pickled Herrings as an early purchase bonus.
Pikmin Bloom Heads to Seattle
From May 23 through September 7
Since launch, Pikmin Bloom has regularly held monthly in-game events centered around seasonal themes, regional celebrations, and returning Decor Pikmin collections. These events often introduce limited-time missions, themed rewards, and collectible Decor Pikmin variants that encourage players to walk outdoors and participate daily.
The game is also currently holding a collaboration event with the Seattle Aquarium, which began on May 23 and runs through September 7. The event features hidden Pikmin displays around the aquarium campus alongside a Pikmin Bloom MINI WALK across the Seattle waterfront, where players can visit Special Spots in the app to receive Gold Seedlings that grow into Decor Pikmin. Previous MINI WALK collaboration events have also been held with festivals and attractions in locations such as Los Angeles, Germany, Taiwan, and the San Diego Zoo in California.
June Community Day
From June 13 to 14
Pikmin Bloom will also hold its June 2026 Community Day event from June 13 to 14, where Big Flowers will bloom into Bellflowers when regular petals are planted nearby. Players who reach 10,000 steps on either day will receive the Bellflower Flower Badge, while seedlings placed in planter packs will grow 1.5 times faster than usual during the event.
The event will also include a limited-time Community Day Bundle Pack and a special mission ticket that grants access to an exclusive event mission. Players are encouraged to share their walks online through the #10KWalkWithPikmin hashtag.
