Petit Planet Stardrift Test Launches April 21
Beta Test Signups Now Open
Petit Planet, the upcoming cozy galactic life sim from HoYoverse, will begin its Stardrift Test on April 21, 2026. As announced across the game’s social media pages on April 2, players can now register for the beta via the official website.
After completing the sign-up survey, those who will be selected will receive an email from HoYoverse to confirm their participation. Aside from the registration process, fans can also have the chance to join the test by joining community events through Petit Planet’s official channels.
Exclusive to Mobile and PC
Following the beta test announcement, HoYoverse shared more details on the game’s official X (Twitter) by providing a Sign-Up FAQ. According to the post, the Petit Planet Stardrift Test is exclusive to iOS, Android, and PC, which are currently the only confirmed platforms for the game’s release.
For PC players, the recommended specifications include an Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 CPU (or better), paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT GPU. Additionally, the game requires 16GB of RAM and 15GB of available storage.
iOS users will need an iPhone XS or later (10GB space), while Android players should have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2/Dimensity 9200 or better with at least 6GB of RAM (12GB space).
Seven Supported Text Languages With More to Come

The Petit Planet Stardrift Test will support seven text languages: English, Japanese, French, Russian, Thai, Indonesian, and Simplified Chinese. Additionally, players can choose between English, Japanese, and Chinese for the game's voice-overs.
HoYoverse noted that they plan to add more text languages and voice-overs in future updates.
Sharing Stardrift Test Content is Allowed

The upcoming Stardrift Test will allow participants to share any gameplay content they have while playing the game. This means that players are free to post streams, recordings, screenshots, or any other media to their social platforms.
This open-sharing policy is particularly significant given that HoYoverse has yet to release substantial gameplay footage or detailed information about the title.
However, the studio would like to remind fans that any infringing content or activities, such as "datamining, unauthorized use, deliberate defamation, or other misuse of game content," are strictly prohibited and could result in the developers taking legal action against violators.

Other than Petit Planet, HoYoverse has an impressive lineup of upcoming games, most notably the open-world RPG Varsapura and the tactical auto-chess title Honkai Nexus Anima.
With such a diverse slate of projects in development and the ongoing popularity of Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero, the studio seems poised to maintain its dominant position across multiple gaming genres in the coming years.
Petit Planet is currently in development for iOS, Android, and PC, with its Stardrift Test coming on April 21, 2026. To stay up-to-date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below.
