Free DLCs Forever
Paralives is collaborating with Among Us, House Flipper 2, Outbound, and Kitfox Games (Dwarf Fortress, Boyfriend Dungeon) to bring additional content and discounts to players, as per a May 26 announcement on their official channels.
All additional content from the collabs comes free with the game’s release patch. This is in line with the developers’ statement on the Paralives website that the game "will never have paid DLCs, only free expansions."
The long-awaited life sim was finally released in Early Access for PC and Mac on May 25, 2026, seven years after its initial announcement in 2019. Paralives is available for $39.99 during Early Access, with a price increase set for the game’s full launch. An official release date has not yet been announced.
Additional Content from Outbound, Among Us, and Kitfox Games
The iconic colored astronauts from the hit multiplayer game, Among Us, are available as costumes, plushies, posters, and stamps. In-game computers also offer a new "Play Among Us" interaction, which displays an Among Us gameplay visual on the computer screen as Parafolk appear to use the mouse and keyboard to play.

Meanwhile, Outbound adds a scalable, decorative camper van to Build Mode and a "Play Outbound" option for computers, which functions similarly to the "Play Among Us" interaction. Kitfox Games provides Parafolk with Boyfriend Dungeon-themed body pillows, stamps, and the "Play Boyfriend Dungeon" and "Play Dwarf Fortress" interactions to computers.
Paralives Steam Early Access and Discounts

Players can get Paralives and House Flipper 2 at 10% off if purchased together during the game’s release week. Outbound and Kitfox Games’ Dwarf Fortress offer the same discount bundles permanently.
Fans took to social media to express their excitement over the game’s Early Access release and free expansions. Many praised the sense of community fostered by indie developers, such as the Paralives team, Among Us devs Innersloth, Outbound’s Square Glade Games, and House Flipper 2’s Frozen District, who work together.
Paralives, affectionately dubbed by some fans as a "Sims Killer," currently holds a Very Positive rating on Steam based on over 3,000 reviews. To stay up to date on Paralives’ full release date, check out our article below!
