Overwatch Joins the Lord of Hatred Craze with New Diablo 4 Cosmetics and Events
Five Heroes Receive Fresh Diablo 4 Skins

Overwatch’s latest crossover event channels the fires of hell with five new Diablo-themed skins for its roster of heroes, as announced by Blizzard ahead of Diablo 4’s upcoming Lord of Hatred DLC. Both the new Overwatch skins and the Diablo 4 expansion will launch simultaneously on April 28, with the collaboration running through May 18.
On Blizzard’s official Overwatch blog, the devs detail the "newly forged" cosmetics for their hero-shooter’s existing pool of characters. Headlining the collaboration is the Omnic Leader, Ramattra, imbued with Mephisto’s motif for his Omnic and Nemesis forms.

Alongside the Ramattra x Mephisto cosmetic, four other heroes will receive Diablo-themed skins inspired by the ARPG’s classes. Support heroes like Brigitte brandish the Paladin’s light, while Lifeweaver dons Warlock armor teeming with corruption.
Notably, both the Paladin and Warlock are the two new playable classes arriving with Lord of Hatred next week. Damage hero Freja takes on the Rogue’s design, while Tank hero Roadhog channels the elements with his Druid-inspired look.
The event marks the second major Diablo collaboration for Blizzard’s premier hero-shooter, with the first one being the Overwatch: Rise of Darkness event featuring Moira as Lilith in October 2023.
Returning Diablo Skins for Overwatch

Blizzard is also bringing back four Legendary skins that were previously available during Overwatch’s Rise of Darkness event on October 10, 2023, including Lilith Moira, inspired by Diablo 4’s primary antagonist, Lilith.
The returning cosmetics also include Pharah in Angel Inarius’ armor, Reinhardt in Archangel Imperius armor, and Sombra with the Gilded Hunter-themed skin. Blizzard confirms that all returning skins will be available either in bundles or as individual purchases.

All five skins, including the returning cosmetics, will be available in Overwatch’s in-game shop on April 28. Blizzard has not announced the price for the cosmetics yet, but players can expect the full bundle to be priced similarly to previous collaborations, such as the Overwatch x Project YoRHa cosmetics during the NieR: Automata event, which cost around 6,900 Overwatch Coins (approximately $70). Individual skins may also be available for around 1,900 Overwatch Coins, which is roughly $20.
New Events and Rewards

Alongside the selection of Diablo-themed skins, the Overwatch x Hatred’s Reckoning event will introduce a new Skovos-themed souvenir, the "Crab with a Knife" weapon charm. Additionally, it will bring back classic in-game challenges where players unlock player icons, sprays, and more simply by playing during the event.
The return of the Rise of Darkness challenges will give players a chance to earn previous Diablo-themed rewards they may have missed three years ago. Meanwhile, Trials of Sanctuary, the limited-time PvE mode from the first Diablo crossover, will not be returning, as it was notably absent from the blog post’s list of featured content.

Players can tune in to Twitch to earn exclusive Drops, including the "Wolf Pup" weapon charm for watching selected streamers for one hour, while two hours of watch time will unlock the "Sword weapon" charm. The event will run from April 14 to May 10.
