The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake closed out the Direct with a cinematic narrated 3D trailer featuring a tapestry with Hyrule’s history and a Young Link sleeping, with the Triforce symbol glowing on the back of his hand. The long-awaited from-the-ground-up reimagining of the third best-selling title in The Legend of Zelda series is coming to the Switch 2 later this year. Nintendo will announce more details at a later date.
Kingdom Hearts 4 Drops Surprise Gameplay Trailer

Kingdom Hearts 4 (KH4) shocks viewers with a new gameplay trailer featuring a deeper look into the upcoming next installment of the dearly beloved series. In the minute-and-a-half-long trailer, Sora can be seen battling against Darkside, a familiar boss character, on the streets of an urban city.
Square Enix has yet to release a release window or release date, but the game is confirmed to come out on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Deltarune Chapter 5 Release Date Revealed

Toby Fox has revealed that Deltarune Chapter 5 will launch on June 24, 2026, for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The free update comes after months of development news, with Fox previously sharing that the chapter was undergoing polishing, localization, and testing.
Alongside the release date announcement, Fox offered a positive update on the future of the game, noting that development on the upcoming chapter is progressing smoothly. The release of Chapter 5 continues the story of Kris, Susie, and Ralsei as their journey moves closer to its eventual conclusion.
Final Fantasy Resonance Arrives on October 22 in 2D-HD

Final Fantasy Resonance unveiled its first trailer and confirmed its October 22, 2026, release date for all Nintendo Switch systems. This remake of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, a discontinued free-to-play mobile RPG, is Final Fantasy’s first- ever 2D-HD title.
The game follows a knight named Rain as he journeys through the magical world of Lapis, and features a turn-based battle system and run-ins with iconic Final Fantasy characters, such as Cloud and Tidus. The game will also be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, priced at $49.99. A Digital Deluxe Edition will be available for $59.99, and a Collector’s Edition including exclusive merchandise for $209.99.
Xenoblade Genesis Announced, Coming 2027

Xenoblade Genesis debuted its first trailer, confirming the game’s 2027 release. The fifth installment in the Xenoblade series follows newly appointed warriors called Vesselai as they study and train at Leukos, a university for wielders of special powers called Anima.
This game marks a fresh new chapter for the franchise, with the Xenoblade Chronicles storyline concluded in Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed and Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.
Pokémon Pokopia Underwater DLC Available Today, Free Update in August 2026

Pokémon Pokopia sends Ditto under the sea with a free update that allows players to build underwater cities, set to release in August 2026. Mudkip fans and Water-type lovers who are eager to explore an underwater city ahead of the update can look forward to Pokopia’s first paid Expansion Pass, which will be available today. The DLC includes a new underwater city called Underwater Basin, home to Popplio, Mudkip, and Corphish.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen 2 is set to launch on October 9, 2026. The new trailer showed more of Capcom’s fantasy action RPG, with players once again taking on large monsters, exploring dangerous lands, and fighting alongside Pawns.
The announcement also highlighted the darker tone tied to the Dark Arisen name, pointing to new threats and a heavier focus on high-stakes exploration. Platform details can be added once confirmed in the working document.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World Coming to All Nintendo Systems on December 2

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World was officially announced with a trailer showcasing colorful new landscapes, cartoonish monsters, and a monster synthesizing system for strengthening allies. The chibi Dragon Quest adventure will launch for the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2 on December 3, alongside its release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Adds Thumb Wrestling And More Motion Sports

Thumb wrestling is one of the new activities featured in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, the next motion-controlled sports game for Nintendo Switch 2. The trailer showed players using Joy-Con 2 controllers across a mix of returning sports and new party-style events.
The game includes 12 sports, with thumb wrestling joining activities such as tennis, bowling, archery, boxing, and power cruising. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is set to launch on October 22, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2.
Pikuniku 2 Continues Piku’s Wacky Adventures in 2027

Pikuniku 2 was unveiled in a dedicated section at the Nintendo Direct June 2026 event, bringing back the charm of the series with more of the quirky fun and exploration found in its first installment. The game’s frog-scored musical reveal trailer went through what new adventures and light puzzle-solving this new installment promises, with more of the oddball humor and mysteries Piku and his crew were known for.
Pikuniku 2 will be released in 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (Steam). It can currently be wishlisted on the official storefront page of the game.
Hello Kitty Party Land Brings the Party to All Switch Systems on October 29

Hello Kitty Party Land was officially announced with a cute and colorful trailer featuring iconic Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty and Pompompurin. Sanrio Games’ first title is a party game featuring over 145 Sanrio characters and more than 45 mini-games, playable solo or with up to 4 players via local multiplayer. The game launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 29, 2026.
Muramasa: Revenant Blades Revealed, Releases in Early 2027

Muramasa: Revenant Blades, a remaster of the 2013 action RPG Muramasa: Rebirth, was officially revealed with an action-packed gameplay trailer showcasing its side-scrolling hack-and-slash combat. Six playable characters with unique storylines will battle it out for ownership of mythical samurai swords early in 2027 for all Nintendo Switch systems.
The physical version will be available for PlayStation 5 and all Nintendo Switch systems at $49.99, with a Limited Edition version including exclusive merch available for $89.99 on PlayStation 5 and $99.99 on Nintendo Switch. Details for digital editions will be announced at a later date. The title will also be available for PC via Steam.
Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition Available June 23

Capcom has announced Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition for Nintendo Switch 2. The game will launch digitally on June 23, 2026, followed by a physical edition on August 28, 2026. Players who purchase the digital version before July 7 will also be eligible for a launch discount. The game brings the acclaimed action title to Nintendo's new platform, allowing players to experience the stylish demon-hunting adventure of Dante, Nero, V, and Vergil.
Lies of P: Complete Edition Brings Krat to Switch 2 This August

Lies of P: Complete Edition was announced for Nintendo Switch 2 during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct. The Complete Edition packages the dark action RPG with Lies of P: Overture, letting players experience the main story and its prequel DLC in one release.

One Piece: Grand Gourmet trades the Straw Hat Crew’s iconic pirate hats for chef hats in this pixel-style cooking and restaurant management game featuring over 400 characters from the iconic anime series. The game will launch for all Nintendo Switch systems on October 23, 2026, with full mouse support for Joy-Con 2 controllers.
Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton Follows Vampire Survivors’ Style

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is a new multiplayer game developed by Poncle, the studio behind Vampire Survivors, set in the world of the hit manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. Published under Shueisha Games, the anime game is heading to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam sometime in 2026.
Poncle's founder, Luca Galante, describes it as a brand new genre entirely, coined "Survivors Royale," taking the studio's signature horde survival gameplay with a competitive battle royale structure. Up to eight players can compete simultaneously, cutting through waves of Cursed Spirits to rack up points.
Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet Sneaks Onto Switch 2 in Spring 2027

Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet launches its first chapter exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2027, as confirmed by a gameplay trailer featuring the game’s colorful traversal and combat mechanics powered by Ninja Gum. This ninja adventure has also been confirmed to support couch co-op and online multiplayer.

The Duskbloods Closed Network Test Coming Soon to Switch 2

After months of silence from FromSoftware, The Duskbloods finally resurfaced during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct with a new trailer and the official announcements of its upcoming Closed Network Test.
The brief showcase offered another look at FromSoftware’s dark multiplayer world and its Bloodsworn, warriors who wield blood-based powers while competing and cooperating in battles of up to eight players. Rather than revealing a release date, Nintendo confirmed that a Closed Network Test will be held sometime this summer, with more details to follow.
The Duskbloods remains scheduled to launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
Splatoon Raiders Gameplay Explored, Dedicated Direct on June 30


Splatoon Raiders shared new gameplay footage with a trailer and an extended playthrough during the Treehouse Live. The newest entry in the inky series is a single-player-focused adventure set to launch on July 23, alongside a new blue and light yellow Splatoon-inspired colorway for the Joy-Con 2.
Ahead of launch, interested players can get their hands on prequel content via daily comics on the Nintendo Today app from June 23 to July 23. A dedicated Splatoon Raiders Direct is set to air on June 30, and the Splatoon 3 North American League 2026 Playoffs will stream live at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET on June 20 and 21. A Special Splatoon Raiders-themed Splatfest will also be available on Splatoon 3 from July 10 to 12.
Onimusha: Way of The Sword Pre-Orders Open Today, Launching on September 25

Onimusha: Way of the Sword will launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 25, 2026, with pre-orders set to open today. Joy-Con 2 motion controls have been integrated into the game’s combat system, allowing players to parry, deflect, and attack with real-life physical movements.
Rayman Legends Retold Brings The Glade of Dream Back

Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murphy return in Rayman Legends Retold, a reimagining of the 2013 platformer. The remake adds updated 2.5D and 3D visuals, a new story, a new villain, and extra content while bringing players back to the Glade of Dreams.
Rayman Legends Retold is set to launch on October 1, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. It will also include Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition as part of the package.
Rhythm Heaven Groove Tunes In on July 2, 2026

Rhythm Heaven Groove revealed a gameplay trailer showcasing its familiar rhythm-based button-pressing mechanics, with a new twist. The modern entry adds new game modes, such as fighting foes in time to button pressing, as well as a quiz show type, among others.
Most notably though, the game now has a local multiplayer party mode, allowing for up to four players to sync up and groove to the beat—if they can.
Rhythm Heaven Groove is set to launch on July 2, 2026 for the Nintendo Switch.

Stellar Blade Comes To Switch 2

Shift Up's action-adventure Stellar Blade is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2026. The game originally launched on PS5 in 2024 under Sony's publishing and was well received by critics, earning an 81 on Metacritic for its stylish combat and cinematic presentation.
Players take on the role of EVE, an elite warrior fighting to reclaim Earth from a mysterious enemy force. The Switch 2 version brings the full experience along with it, such as customizable skills and gear, and support for Joy-Con 2 motion controls during select in-game activities. A specific release date and physical edition details have yet to be announced.
Lords of the Fallen 2 Lands on Switch 2 This Fall

Lords of the Fallen 2 invites players to journey across the realms of the living and the dead in a cinematic gameplay trailer showcasing brutal melee, magic, and ranged combat against godlike monsters. This dark fantasy action-RPG releases for the Nintendo Switch 2 in Fall 2026.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Brings the Heroic Games to Switch 2
The Heroic Games take center stage in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, the next mainline entry in Nintendo’s tactical RPG series. The trailer highlighted a new cast, turn-based battles, and an intertwining story built around strength, steel, and arena-style conflict.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is planned for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17, 2026.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Adds Switch 2 Version

Jagex confirmed that RuneScape: Dragonwilds is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2, expanding the game's platform lineup beyond its existing PC release plans. The open-world survival adventure is set in the RuneScape universe but focuses on exploration, crafting, building, and battling powerful dragons rather than a traditional MMORPG playstyle. Players will be able to explore the dangerous continent of Ashenfall, gather resources, construct settlements, and even survive or venture alongside friends in multiplayer.
Orbitals Will Release Exclusively for Switch 2 on September 3

Orbitals will be released on September 3, 2026, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. The two-player co-op will be available via Gameshare, confirmed in a trailer featuring colorful, comic-style exploration through a wide variety of unique stages and locations.
Big Walk, Made by Untitled Goose Game Developers, is Coming to Switch 2

Big Walk, the next cooperative adventure from Untitled Goose Game developer House House and publisher Panic, is launching on August 4, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC and Mac via Steam, priced at $19.99 with a 25% launch discount. PS5 players will also be able to access it through the PlayStation Plus Essential tier on day one, and the game supports crossplay across all platforms.
The casual game sends two to twelve players out into an open world full of puzzles, challenges, and discoveries, where staying in contact and working together is key. The developers describe it as a handcrafted adventure meant to be played start to finish with friends, with the full run clocking in at around 10 to 15 hours.
Xenoblade Chronicles Trilogy Gets Nintendo Switch 2 Editions

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 are getting Nintendo Switch 2 Editions with 60 fps, up to 4K resolution in TV mode, Full HD in handheld mode, and enhanced in-game cutscenes.
Each version also adds new content, including a high-speed vehicle and voiced Heart-to-Heart conversations for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, new action battles and a new rare Blade for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and new defensive battles plus a new Hero Quest for Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is available digitally now, with a physical version on July 30, 2026. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 launches digitally on July 30, 2026, and physically on October 1, 2026, while Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launches on December 3, 2026.
Kingdom Hearts Collections Launch Natively on Switch 2

As fans wait for more KH4 news, they can also relive Sora’s journey thus far with the Kingdom Hearts collections now available natively on the Nintendo Switch 2. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind can be purchased separately or as a bundle now on the Nintendo eShop.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is Coming to the Switch 2 in November 2026

ATLUS made a brief appearance during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct to confirm that Metaphor: ReFantazio is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. The showcase featured a new trailer highlighting the game's distinctive fantasy world and style.
For players who missed one of 2024’s standout RPGs, the Switch 2 release brings the full experience to Nintendo’s platform as players enter the Royal Tournament, awaken powerful Archetypes, and journey across the kingdom in pursuit of the throne.

Minecraft is Finally Coming to Switch 2 This Year

A dedicated Switch 2 port of the beloved blocky game is set to launch this year. This native Switch 2 version will feature significant graphics upgrades for both the base game and the Switch-exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up pack. While data can be transferred from the Switch version, it remains unconfirmed if there will be an upgrade path for existing owners.

DK Challenge Event Brings Donkey Kong Missions to Switch 2

DK Challenge was shown during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct and Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation. The feature uses a card-style challenge menu with objectives based on different Donkey Kong games, including classic Donkey Kong stages and Donkey Kong Bananza missions.
The preview showed players selecting challenge cards, checking clear conditions, and taking on different DK-themed objectives. The event launched on June 9, 2026, and is available for a limited time until September 1, 2026.
Donkey Kong Bananza DLC adds DK Island and Emerald Rush

Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush adds a new DLC expansion for Nintendo Switch 2, bringing players to DK Island with new areas to explore and challenges to clear. The reveal also ties into the Super Mario Bros. 40th anniversary, with the trailer showing Mario and Luigi-themed anniversary imagery.
The expansion includes Emerald Rush, a challenge mode where players collect fossils to gain perks, smash Banandium Gems to strengthen DK, and unlock new fashions and collectible statues. Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush launched on September 12, 2025 for Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo is not going to let Summer Game Fest end without throwing its hat in the ring, as it has officially confirmed its highly anticipated Nintendo Direct for this Tuesday, June 9, 2026. The showcase is scheduled to air at 7:00 A.M. PT / 10:00 A.M. ET and will run for approximately 50 minutes.
Fans can tune into the livestream globally via Nintendo's official YouTube and Twitch channels, and the main event will be immediately followed by a Nintendo Treehouse segment.
