My Hero Academia Returns to Mobile with UNITED SURVIVAL
KLab and Gumi Team Up for 2026 Release
My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL is a new free-to-play mobile title by KLab Inc., launching worldwide in 2026. The reveal was accompanied by a short teaser trailer shared on the game’s official X account, which runs for around fifteen seconds and primarily showcases the main key visual.
The visual is illustrated by Bones, the studio behind the anime adaptation. Development is being handled in partnership with Gumi Inc.
While specific gameplay remains under wraps, the developers’ experience hints at what players can expect. KLab is a veteran in the anime space, known for Bleach: Brave Souls, while Gumi has a storied history with gacha RPGs like The Alchemist Code and Brave Frontier. This partnership could bring together KLab’s experience with 3D action games and Gumi’s background in traditional mobile RPG systems. UNITED SURVIVAL will follow a similar free-to-play model, supported by in-app purchases.
A Brief History of My Hero Academia Games
Since its debut in 2014, My Hero Academia has grown into one of the most successful modern shonen franchises, spanning both manga and anime. Its popularity has led to multiple video game adaptations over the years.
The franchise’s arena fighter adaptations, including My Hero One's Justice 2 and its follow-up My Hero All's Justice, brought cinematic battles and character-focused matchups to consoles and PC. On the mobile side, My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero and My Hero Ultra Impact marked the series’ first foray into live-service games, offering ongoing updates and long-term character progression. Most recently, My Hero Ultra Rumble represents the latest multiplayer-focused live-service experience.
The reveal of UNITED SURVIVAL comes at a turning point for the fandom, following the shutdown of The Strongest Hero in March and the planned closure of Ultra Impact on May 18. With two recent mobile titles reaching end-of-service, some players have expressed caution toward the new release, particularly regarding its long-term support.
