Mongil: Star Dive is an action-adventure monster-taming RPG that stars the protagonists of the original Monster Tamer game and takes place in a vast world of monsters. Read on to learn how it plays, what it's about, and everything else we know so far.

Mongil: Star Dive Gameplay
Mongil: Star Dive is a semi-open world game where players will encounter various monsters in the sprawling lands of Belana.
ZZZ and Wuwa-Like Combat and Monster Assistants
The combat is similar to games such as Zenless Zone Zero and Wuthering Waves in which players enter battles with a party of three different characters, including additional assistance from tamed monsters. Combat is fast and fluid, and players will have to quickly swap between different characters to chain attacks and exploit enemies’ elemental weaknesses.
Catching Monsterlings with Nyanners
Monsters found in the wild can be tamed using Nyanners, a monster that can turn other ones into Monsterlings. Monsterlings are miniaturized versions of captured monsters that can be equipped to any character. Monsterlings possess abilities that are unique to their kind and can be used frequently in battle.
Mongil: Star Dive Story
Mongil: Star Dive is a sequel to Netmarble's creature collector, Monster Taming. Star Dive's protagonists Cloud and Verna were characters from its predecessor, as well as Mina, the nine-tailed fox, Francis, the nursing assistant, and Rin (also known as Lin), an interdimensional traveler.

Mongil: Star Dive follows guild members Verna and Cloud, who embark on a journey to tame Monsterlings with the help of Nyanners, their mystical feline companion. Eventually, they would begin investigating strange ecological shifts in monster habitats as they are haunted by premonitions seen in Cloud's dreams.
Mongil: Star Dive Setting
Mongil: Star Dive is set in Belana, a medieval fantasy world cohabited by humans, demihumans, and monsters. The region is filled with various locales, ranging from lush forested temple ruins to wheat farms at the outskirts of cities and towns.
