Season 7 - The Hunt is On

Season 7 is based on the storyline from the Devil's Reign (2021) comics. Mayor Wilson Fisk responds to Alchemax’s multiversal incursion by declaring martial law across New York City. He orders the arrest of every superhero from divergent timelines and secretly hires Black Cat to steal a mysterious tablet.
The season, which starts on March 20, 2026, adds the playable heroes White Fox and Black Cat, as well as a Lower Manhattan map.
Season 6 - Night at the Museum

Season 6 is based on the storyline from the Deadpool (2019) comics. Deadpool betrays the Collector, hurling the Collector's Museum into turmoil.
The season, which ran from January 16, 2026 to March 20, 2026, added the playable heroes Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone, as well as a Museum of Contemplation map.
Season 5 - Love is a Battlefield

Season 5 is based on the storyline from the Mr. & Mrs. X (2018) comics. Now married to Rogue, Gambit cuts a deal with the Grandmaster and steals a contract from the Collector.
The season, which ran from November 14, 2025 to January 16, 2026, added the playable heroes Gambit and Rogue, as well as a Grand Garden map.
Season 4 - The Heart of the Dragon

Season 4 is based on the storyline from The Immortal Iron Fist (2006) comics. Shou-Lao calls for a tournament among the Immortal Weapons, a desperate measure to stop Doctor Doom from seizing his chi.
The season, which ran from September 12, 2025 to November 14, 2025, added the playable heroes Angela and Daredevil, as well as a K'un-L'un map.
Season 3 - The Abyss Awakens

Season 3 storyline is based on the King in Black (2021) comics, primarily focusing on Knull and Hela as they take over the galaxy. It introduced two new playable heroes, Phoenix and Blade, as well as the Celestial Husk and Throne of Knull maps.
The season ran from July 11, 2025 to September 12, 2025.
Season 2 - Hellfire Gala

Season 2 brings Marvel Rivals to the living mutant island of Krakoa for the biggest annual gathering of mutants globally, the Hellfire Gala! This season promises to bring two new heroes for to Marvel Rivals and one new map, alongside a set of Hellfire Gala appropriate skins and outfits for many heroes.
Emma Frost, the gala's host, was released when Season 2 launched on April 11, 2025, with Ultron set to release on the season's latter half a couple of months later. The new map Krakoa is now also available for players to enjoy for the Domination game mode.
Season 1 - Eternal Night Falls

Season 1 brought four new heroes and additional maps to the game, most prominently the Fantastic Four, which features Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing. The first two were brought into the game at the start of the season, where as the latter half were added during the midseason patch.
The season also saw two new maps from the Empire of Eternal Night implemented into the shooter: 'Midtown', 'The Mystical Sanctum Sanctorum,' and 'Central Park'.
As for skins and cosmetics, the maiden season received two: Darkhold, and the Spring Festival events that granted more unique costumes for various characters.
Season 0 - Dooms' Rise

Season 0 was the game's official launch, and during it saw the release of multiple skins for numerous heroes, most notably the Marvel Cinematic Universe collaboration. The event brought the star-studded likenesses and costumes from the MCU big screen to players' videogames at home.
Additionally, as the season coincided with the December holidays, festive-snow-themed costumes were able to be purchased for a select few characters.
Marvel Rivals is Now Available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox!

Marvel Rivals is now free-to-play on PC (Steam, Epic Games), PlayStation, and Xbox. The game did not have a pre-order period, and thus did not have any pre-order bonuses.
