The Vermillion Martial God Arrives August 17th
Love and Deepspace dropped the game’s newest upcoming Myth event, [Po Zhen Zi], featuring Rafayel on August 13th. From 5 AM on August 17th to 4:59 AM on August 31st (local server time), players will have the chance to pull for Vermillion Martial God Rafayel Myth Companion on his limited-time banner. Obtaining the 5-Star Solar Memory pair of [Rafayel: Masked Radiance] and [Rafayel: Masked Dissolution] will unlock the respective companion, and this will be guaranteed within a maximum of 150 pulls.
Participating in the event also nets the following rewards for free:

As with other Myth companions, the storyline features an alternate universe of the MC and the featured LI (love interest). Titled "A Thought Across," it follows Rafayel as the Vermilion General who ascended to the status of a Martial God three hundred years ago as a bid to protect all living beings. However, even in all his godliness, an unfulfilled wish of his tethered his soul to the mortal realm. For years, his "soul’s anchor" stayed rooted in an ancient tree, waiting for that one person to move the strings of fate.
Players Are Still Looking for Valko
However, as with the previous Caleb event earlier this August, thousands of players are still looking for answers regarding the cancelled 6th LI (love interest) Valko, with most of the replies urging developer Infold to address Valko’s removal properly and using the hashtags #BringValkoBack and #NoValkoNoTrust. While some have also left enthusiastic comments about Rafayel’s Myth and praising the theme and its visuals, many have taken to social media, even beyond X (Twitter), to reaffirm their stance of boycotting until the issue has been resolved.
This is the second event announcement to see a heavy drop in favorable reactions and more backlash in the comment section, following the lukewarm reaction to Caleb’s basketball-themed Memory event. While it has only been five or so hours since its reveal, the official X (Twitter) post for the new Rafayel Myth has gotten 6.5k reposts, 8k likes, and a whopping 9.5k replies. Caleb’s [Summer Surge] event teaser has 12k reposts, 15k likes, and 22k replies, many of which are also leaning towards support for Valko.
For comparison, previous event teasers before Valko’s cancellation were usually met with much more enthusiasm in the form of likes and positive reposts. Valko’s own [The Tameless Game] trailer received 57k likes, 27k reposts, and 6.2k replies, and Sylus’ [Kitten Included] mini-event garnered 35k likes, 14k reposts, and 707 replies. The newest Myth Event prior to Rafayel’s, Caleb’s [Ghosts’ Final March], has a response of 32k likes, 19k reposts, and only 1.1k replies.
The boycott, however, seems to be making waves not just through the internet—the game’s revenue has also taken a hit. It had reached a historical low at the July 2026 Monthly Gacha Revenue at 17th place (previously at 16th before the addition of Hololive Dreams) with $10.3 million in sales. In its two years of service, it has constantly topped the charts and has not fallen below 5th place, consistently making millions of dollars in revenue that competed against other gacha giants like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Wuthering Waves.
It has been a month and a half since the 6th LI’s removal from the game, and the boycott appears to have no signs of slowing down. The fanbase remains heavily divided and mostly unhappy with the current situation and silence, with both supporters and detractors still waiting for answers. As of writing, Infold has yet to make a clear statement regarding the 6th LI or the boycott.
