Love and Deepspace Unveils Once Upon a Frame Event
Available from June 17 to July 2
Love and Deepspace's (LADS) official channels revealed the upcoming Once Upon a Frame event, a new 5-Star Interactive Memory Series that runs from June 17 at 5:00 AM to July 2 at 4:59 AM at a player’s respective regional server time. The event offers players a choice of three out of five event-limited 5-Star Memories across all love interests simultaneously:
⚫︎ Xavier: Runaway Hearts
⚫︎ Zayne: Dawn and Devotion
⚫︎ Rafayel: Sunset on Canvas
⚫︎ Sylus: Finale Undone
⚫︎ Caleb: Up Close
The trailer reveals that each love interest has been styled in looks evoking iconic works of classic Western film and literature. Fans quickly zeroed in on references to Titanic for Rafayel, a film noir aesthetic for Sylus, and a Pride and Prejudice-style period for Zayne, sending the community into a heated debate within hours of the announcement over which literary work inspired each character.
Fans are Excited for LADS’ Literary Era

The Once Upon a Frame reveal landed hard with the LADS community, and predictably, the discourse immediately and enthusiastically turned to theories and speculation. Fans drew connections to Titanic for Rafayel's setting, Casablanca for Sylus’ outfit, Romeo & Juliet for Xavier, and Pride and Prejudice for Zayne, with a user noting the event gives "Mr. Darcy" vibes from Zayne's outfit specifically. The Ghost (1990) film inspiration for Caleb also took off, with fans noting his forlorn dynamic with the MC’s spirit.
Not all reactions were uncomplicated admiration, however. Sylus mains raised some eyebrows at his outfit relative to the other love interests, with one player remarking that "everyone else's has layers and details, and his is just a coat," though others pushed back and called it the most uniquely styled of the bunch.

Meanwhile, the sheer pull economy of the event drew some wry comments, with players noting the pressure of juggling Once Upon a Frame alongside upcoming banners and anniversary content. "Well, there goes my paycheck," one player noted on Twitter (X).
The general sentiment landed somewhere between delighted and overwhelmed, which for a Love and Deepspace multi-banner drop is more or less exactly where it's expected.
Rewards and Precise Wish System Explained

Cumulative wish rewards are also available throughout the event, unlocking Unspoken Lines, 20 Deepspace Wish: Limited tickets, memory-themed outfits for each love interest, and a selectable event-limited 5-Star Memory at certain wish milestones. Players who reach Rank 1 on any event-limited memory can also claim a Special-Colored Memory-Themed Outfit for the corresponding love interest.
None of the five event-limited memories will enter the permanent Xspace Echo pool once the event concludes. Two new in-app purchase packs, the Premiere Bloom Pack and Heartframe Pack, will be available in the Shop throughout the event window, with any unused Deepspace Wish: Limited tickets converting to Empyrean Wishes after it ends.

The same day LADS’ Once Upon a Frame event had been announced, the developers also posted details on how the upcoming pulling system works on their notice board. Instead of one featured memory, players may select three out of the five available 5-Star Memories before wishing, with their picks’ drop rates significantly increased.
Each 5-Star pull carries a 75% chance of landing one of the three chosen memories, and the new Precise Wish feature lets players prioritize one specific memory, guaranteeing it on the next 5-Star pull if the first doesn't hit. Precise Wish choices can be changed or canceled at any time, though doing so after a non-chosen 5-Star is obtained will reset the accumulated Wish Points.
Love and Deepspace is a sci-fi otome from Infold Games (Global) and Papergames (China), available on Android and iOS. For more information on LADS, check out the page below!
