Lies of P publisher NEOWIZ confirmed in its Q1 2026 earnings results that the project listed as the "Lies of P Sequel" has moved beyond its prototype phase and is now in full-scale development. This means the follow-up is no longer only in its early concept or testing stage, though NEOWIZ has not yet shared its final title, release window, trailer, or gameplay footage.
Lies of P is a Soulslike action RPG that reimagines the story of Pinocchio in a darker setting. Instead of a traditional fairy tale, the game follows Geppetto’s puppet through Krat, a Belle Époque-inspired city overrun by hostile puppets, monsters, and hidden secrets.
The sequel was first officially mentioned in a 2023 Director’s Letter, where game director Jiwon Choi said the team’s highest priority was developing DLC and working on the sequel.
The report lists the upcoming game as a Soulslike RPG for PC and console. However, specific platforms such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, or Epic Games Store have not been confirmed individually.
No Release Date Has Been Announced Yet
NEOWIZ has not yet provided a release date or window for the next Lies of P game. In the same pipeline section, the company said release schedules for upcoming titles will be announced based on development progress and marketing strategy.
Considering that no trailer, final title, story details, or gameplay footage have been revealed, players may still need to wait before seeing a complete reveal for the follow-up.
The same report also places the title under NEOWIZ’s global in-house lineup. This suggests that Lies of P remains part of the company’s wider PC and console strategy.

The Lies of P sequel is part of NEOWIZ’s wider plan for what it calls universe expansion and serialization. The company said it wants to create long-term revenue sources based on strong narratives and proven gameplay.
NEOWIZ also described narrative as one of ROUND8 Studio’s core strengths. According to the company, storytelling plays an important role in player immersion, especially as development costs continue to rise globally.
The report does not explain how the story will continue after the first game. However, its placement in the company’s strategic lineup shows that Lies of P is being treated as an ongoing franchise rather than a one-off release.
Separately, an official NEOWIZ careers listing shows that ROUND8 Studio is hiring for an AI Creator role under Game Art & Creative. The listing mentions work involving tools such as Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, AI-based texturing, image-to-3D support, and building an AI art pipeline, though it does not directly name the Lies of P sequel.
