Kingdom Hearts 4 (KH4) breaks its long silence with a new gameplay and cinematic trailer revealed in the June 2026 Nintendo Direct.
The minute-long trailer showcased several characters, both old and new, such as Goofy, Donald, Luxord, and Strelitzia, who was revealed back in the 2022 announcement trailer. Through snippets of gameplay, Sora is seen fighting against boss character Darkside and other enemies in a sprawling urban area similar to Tokyo's famous Shibuya.
A release date or release window has yet to be announced. KH4 will launch at an unspecified date for PC on Steam and Epic Games, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Kingdom Hearts Collections Coming to Switch 2

While waiting for more Kingdom Hearts 4 news, fans can relive the story thus far with the native release of all three Kingdom Hearts collections on the Nintendo Switch 2 this October 8.
Originally only available through Cloud versions, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind will now be available as full games on the Nintendo eShop. Pre-orders start on June 9th after the Nintendo Direct. The collections can be purchased individually or as a large collection.
