Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish is an action RPG that borrows elements fromVampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, to which it shares the same universe.
Presented in a first-person perspective, players take on the role of a fully customizable character, stepping into the shoes of a modern-day monster hunter tasked with eliminating vampires, werewolves, and other creatures of old.
Like many of its peers, Deathwish places a strong emphasis on player choice, throwing hunters into morally complex decisions that shape the outcome of every mission. Preparation is just as crucial, requiring players to constantly refine their anti-monster arsenal and carefully strategize their next move.
Hunter: The Reckoning Deathwish Story Plot
Based on the World of Darkness TTRPG by White Wolf Publishing, Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish takes players to New York City, a place seemingly corrupted by mysterious monster threats disguised as ordinary human beings. The werewolf you are hunting could be living a double life as a taxi driver, while the vampire you are tracking might even be the Chief of Police in your local precinct.
As part of a group of professional monster slayers tasked with hunting down ancient creatures lurking in the modern city’s seedy underbelly, players will encounter several characters who join the hunt. Each of them carries their own trauma, motivations, and personal reasons for pursuing the dangerous mission of cleansing the world of these vile abominations.
