Girls’ Frontline: Butterfly Contract Launches 2026

Girls’ Frontline (GFL): Butterfly Contract and Reverse Collapse: F are two upcoming titles in the GFL universe that shift the series into a third-person shooter. As announced during the Girls’ Frontline 10th Anniversary Carnival and Music Gala, Butterfly Contract is set to be released for iOS and Android in 2026.
The live anniversary event was a massive two-part fan celebration held on May 2, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China. The event honored the franchise's decade-long journey while giving players a glimpse of its future.
As of writing, there are no official global social media accounts for the games revealed during the event. However, Korean news gaming website Inven Global attended the event and reported that the announcements came with a new PV and some teasers of in-game models.

According to its official description on the TapTap app, GFL: Butterfly Contract is a "new PVE game that deeply integrates third-person shooter and co-op gameplay." It is the evolution of Sunborn Network Technology and Hecate Team’s 2025 3D TPS, Project NET/Fire Control.
Players will be able to relive battles from the original GFL1 (such as the Singularity event) through this new 3D lens. The trailer also hinted at deeper lore connections, featuring a room marked with G-264, and the ID for Lunasia from the Three Goddesses project, which suggests that the new game will delve deeper into the "Forbidden History" of the series.
Reverse Collapse: F Slated for 2028

Beyond Blue Butterfly Contract, Sunborn unveiled Reverse Collapse: F, a flagship production that bridges the GFL universe with high-octane gameplay/ Developed using Unreal Engine 5, it is the studio’s official transition into the global console market, as the project is set to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, mobile (iOS and Android), and PC in 2028.
Based on its overview on TapTap, Reverse Collapse: F is a "science-fiction cooperative player-versus-environment shooter" where players step into the role of a "Blessed One" (or Gifted) tasked with uncovering a glimmer of hope to ensure humanity’s survival.

Based on promotional materials, it is a 4-player co-op third-person shooter with a TRPG-style narrative. Players form squads of four to complete combat missions, loot resources, and extract, similar to the gameplay loop found in games like Helldivers 2 or other extraction shooters.
While information for both titles has been limited, Sunborn noted that Reverse Collapse: F is a long-term project that will be supported for years, with GFL: Blue Butterfly Contract tiding fans over until its 2028 launch.
