Genshin Impact teams up with Baskin-Robbins for the first time in Japan, along with limited-edition merch and in-game rewards from the collaboration.
Genshin Impact x Baskin-Robbins Japan Collab Starts September 8
Limited-Time Event Runs Until October 6
Genshin Impact and Baskin-Robbins launched their first-ever collaboration in Japan. The products go on sale exclusively through Baskin Robbins Japan from September 8 through October 6, with pre-orders and reservations having opened earlier on August 28. The collab mainly features Flins and Linnea visiting a Baskin-Robbins store, with Odette and Illuga appearing in other promotional pieces.
For merchandise, pricing depends on the set. The base option starts at 1,300 yen, which includes ice cream along with a keychain featuring charms of all four characters. The 2,000 yen set or the 2,320 yen set also comes with standees of both Flins and Linnea, paired with a displayable background card. Purchasing the products gives players a digital bundle that's redeemable in-game:
⚫︎ Furnishing: Ice Cream Wagon
⚫︎ Recipe: Ice Cream Set
⚫︎ Primogems x100
⚫︎ Mora x20,000
⚫︎ Hero's Wit x3

Two additional promotions are set to launch on top of the main collab. Starting September 12, customers can receive one random collaboration sticker out of seven designs. On September 28, coinciding with Genshin Impact's sixth anniversary, customers may additionally collect a collaboration design sheet, though it is important to note that these will only be available until supplies last.
Already Sold Out in Select Stores

However, the massive demand was unprecedented. Baskin-Robbins has already posted an apology on its official site, noting that the highly sought-after Genshin Impact Ice Cream Set has already sold out at some locations faster than anticipated across Japan. For now, it’s unclear whether this collaboration will be available elsewhere or if it will eventually get access to the in-game items through other means.
Other players hope that it could be similar to how the previous KFC-themed glider first launched as a China-exclusive before becoming available globally through other promotions. Another instance would be when an exclusive gadget was only available in Taiwan and South Korea before becoming accessible to Western regions through a Crunchyroll collaboration.
Genshin Impact is a live-service free-to-play adventure RPG by Hoyoverse, now available on PC, mobile, and PlayStation 5. For more insights on the game Baskin Robbins is collaborating with, check out the page below:
