Gacha Game Revenue Rankings for September 2026
Top 20 Gacha Games by Estimated Mobile Revenue

September brought another round of shifts across the gacha game market, with GachaRevenue’s latest estimates tracking mobile spending throughout the month. Do note that the rankings are based on Sensor Tower data and cover iOS and Android revenue only; PC and console earnings are excluded.
GachaRevenue cautions that these figures are rough market estimates and may be revised as more data becomes available. They should be used solely as a measure of spending trends, not as definitive revenue totals. For a comparison with the previous month, you can also check our August 2026 gacha revenue rankings.

Genshin Returns to Top 1; Naruto Mobile and HSR Nearly Tie
Genshin Impact led the pack with an estimated $50.23 million in mobile revenue, a 30.7% increase from August’s $38.42 million. The month covered the latter part of Version 7.0, which introduced Snezhnaya in August, and the launch of Version 7.1 on September 23.
Naruto Mobile also posted a 30% increase, reaching an estimated $35.75 million from $27.5 million in August. The figure covers China only, as the game has not seen a global release since its launch over a decade ago. Even with that limited scope, it ranked second overall in the September estimates. The month included the arrival of S-Rank Itachi Uchiha [Akatsuki Crimson] on September 11, alongside an event centered on the character.
Honkai: Star Rail (HSR) reached $35.735 million in September, a 20.2% increase from its $29.74 million estimate in August. Its schedule included the second half of Version 4.5 and the launch of Version 4.6 on September 28, which added the 5-star character Pearl and new story content.
Genshin Impact's lead over the other two was more than $14 million. Naruto Mobile and HSR, however, are separated by just $15,000. Their estimates were almost identical for the month, though they represent different geographic scopes.
ZZZ Falls to Top 18 Despite Version 3.2

Unlike its brethren, Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) fell from sixth to 18th place in the rankings, with estimated mobile revenue dropping from $25.34 million in August to $11.49 million. This is the game’s lowest position in the monthly rankings covered here. The movement is especially notable after ZZZ ranked third in July with an estimated $37.87 million.
It isn’t as though the game’s September was barren; it saw the launch of Version 3.2 on September 9. The update added new story content and introduced S-Rank Agent Claret, with Roxy and Promeia following in the second phase.
The difference may come down to how much Claret made existing players want to pull for her. Players discussing the patch frequently weighed Claret against teams they already had, with some saying they could skip her because their current lineups already covered their roles or because they were saving for future Agents. That does not establish that 3.2 underperformed across the player base, but it suggests a possible reason the update did not produce the same level of spending as the previous cycle. Roxy only arrived on September 30, so their banners had almost no time to contribute to September's estimates.
Love and Deepspace Climbs to Top 5 as Revenue Continues to Recover

Love and Deepspace continued its recovery in September, with GachaRevenue estimating $19.54 million in mobile revenue. The figure is up 10.3% from August’s $17.72 million. It is the game’s second consecutive monthly increase after it fell to $10.31 million in July.
This comes after the controversy surrounding Valko, a planned sixth romantic interest whose cancellation led Infold to announce that Love and Deepspace would no longer introduce new romantic interests. September therefore is another month under the developer’s revised approach to its romanceable cast. The game continued to center its content on the five existing characters, with Zayne’s birthday event running through September 6 and Sylus’s rerun following from September 8 to 15.
The month then moved into new content for Caleb on September 17, followed by "A Night That Never Ends" on September 22. The latter introduced five limited 5-Star Memories featuring the game’s five existing love interests.
Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, Onmyoji Rise Into Top 10
Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle and Onmyoji recorded two of September’s largest upward movements, with estimated mobile revenue increasing by roughly 170% or more for both games. Dokkan Battle rose from 14th to fourth place as its estimate reached $27 million, up from $10 million in August. Onmyoji climbed from 21st to eighth after its estimate increased from $5.79 million to $16.76 million.
Dokkan Battle’s surge came during the 2026 Global Dokkan Campaign, which turned the Cell Saga into the focus of its September content. Its main summon event featured new SSR versions of Super Saiyan Gohan (Youth) and Perfect Cell, with special Cell Saga summon animations and ticket-based summons running alongside the banners. The campaign also introduced Cell Games content later in the month, with new summon-ticket packs going on sale on September 13.
Onmyoji had a more concentrated spending event around its September 16 update. Its Vsinger collaboration introduced limited SSR characters Luo Tianyi and Yan He, with players able to choose either character as their target and collect five character stamps to summon that target. The collaboration followed several days of related content that began on September 9, including progression events and limited summon packs.
FGO Drops Out of First; Wuthering Waves Continues Decline
Opposite of those are Fate/Grand Order (FGO) and Wuthering Waves (WuWa); both recorded lower estimated mobile revenue in September after strong August figures. FGO fell from first place at $42.27 million to 10th at $14.39 million, a decrease of roughly 66%. Wuthering Waves declined from seventh at $25 million to ninth at $16.25 million, a decrease of 35%.
FGO's rank this month followed the anniversary and summer campaigns that had driven its exceptionally high figure in August. The summer event continued through September 2, after which the game launched its 35 million downloads campaign with six Pickup Summons and a ticket that allowed players to obtain an eligible limited 4-Star Servant. Its Halloween event began on September 16 and introduced new story content alongside several additional Pickup Summons. The distribution of these campaigns left September without the sustained anniversary and summer spending period that characterized much of August.
WuWa's decline this month follows a broader moderation in spending after the strong response to Version 3.1. The update generated an estimated $46.3 million in mobile spending in February; Kuro Games, in an interview with Pocket Gamer, described 3.1 as a new revenue peak. Later releases recorded smaller banner estimates, with Qingxiao's banner in August at approximately $2.52 million and Jingran's banner in September at approximately $1.63 million. Version 3.6 still introduced new characters, story content, and events throughout September. Regardless, the month's estimate continued the broader decline from the spending levels reached earlier in the year.

September had its share of surprises, with several games moving considerably from their August positions. It will be interesting to see which of these changes carry over into October.
