Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve Introduces New Enemy Type and Improved Damage System

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve was featured during the showcase, with an exclusive interview with Brand Director Kazutoki Kono and Producer Manabu Shimomoto. They talked about the game’s plot and themes, and introduced a new enemy type: the Land Battle Ship, a giant battle ship that can trample on cities "like Godzilla."
They also discussed the game’s improved targeting and damage system, where precise and surrounding damage are accumulated instead of accounting only for damage directly dealt by the player. The latest installment in Bandai Namco’s fighter pilot simulation franchise launches on October 2, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Deep Dive Reveals New Blackbeard and Edward Story

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced dove deeper into the development and what to expect from the game as it nears it launch. Game Director Richard Night assured players that it will provide the "old experience you know and love" but made better with upgraded visuals and gameplay, promising improved mechanics a la Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
There will also be a new story about Blackbeard in particular while also showing a glimpse of him and Edward’s connection. Be My Horde, A Bullet Hell Roguelike, Now Available on Steam

Be My Horde is now available to play on Early Access on Steam. Players take on the role of Moriana the necromancer (played by Amber Lee Connors), whose sole goal is to dominate the world and plans to do just that by not only defeating her enemies but also taking over their fallen corpses and turning them into her faithful zombie servants.

Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2026 brought a surprise launch for Blasphemous 2: The Third Sin, a free expansion available now. The update sends The Penitent One into a new gothic castle filled with fresh enemies, another boss encounter, and new tools to carry into Cvstodia’s punishment-heavy combat.
The expansion also adds a blade-tipped whip weapon, new prayers, unlockable outfits, Familiars, a boss gallery, new achievements and trophies, and additional music tracks. CORDURA revealed a gameplay trailer during the showcase, featuring snippets of what a round in the game would possibly play out. It is a 4-player co-op psychological horror game where teamwork and coordination are key in surviving through the night. As workers, the group is tasked with gathering Rose of the Night, a potent neurostimulant favored by the rich but terribly dangerous to acquire. Corrupted Victorian buildings warp and twist into procedural labyrinths that slowly eat away at the sanity of whoever unluckily gets trapped within their walls—but they are also the main source of these heady roses.
One player must guide the team through shifting mazes and hallways while the others extract these roses, all while fending off mimics that not only serve to confuse players, but also to afflict death on these intruders.
CORDURA has yet to reveal a release date or release window, but is confirmed for release on Steam and PlayStation 5.

Duskfade Arrives August 13th, Demo Out Now

What is Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2026?

FGS Summer Showcase 2026 is an annual digital video game showcase hosted by GamesRadar+ and publisher Future plc. Designed to give players a glimpse into the future of gaming, the show features upcoming big-budget and micro-indie titles from different studios for multiple platforms.
The award-winning indie game, Blue Prince, debuted on FGS, alongside exclusive trailers and gameplay from hit games such as Resident Evil Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Cairn. The first FGS showcase was held on June 13, 2026, and has aired three times every year since, except in 2020 and 2021, when it aired only twice.
