⚫︎ The original Frostpunk game will have a Nintendo Switch port, developer 11 bit studios reveals. There will be no changes to the Switch edition, except that it will be playable on the go. They have yet to confirm an exact release date, however.
⚫︎ Frostpunk 2 will be getting a new DLC called "Breach of Trust," to be released on June 23, 2026. The DLC takes place near a volcano in New Edinburgh, featuring two new scenario maps and several new pieces of content.

⚫︎ Developer 11 bit studios shares more details about the upcoming Frostpunk: 1886 remaster at their Digital Showcase 2025. They shared concept art, early development footage, and a new lighting rig that amplifies the frost-laden atmosphere in the game.
⚫︎ Frostpunk 2 launches its "Fractured Utopias" DLC, where each faction has their own ideological goals for a Utopia. The DLC was first revealed in a trailer on October 31, 2025, more than a month prior.

⚫︎ Frostpunk 2 unveils an update for its roadmap that stretches across its launch date to 2026. Accompanying the announcement are Full Controller Support for PC, confirmed to arrive next month; a Console Gameplay Trailer ahead of the console launch on September 18; and cosplay guides compiled by their Art Team.

⚫︎ Frostpunk 2 hosts a contest for the best mod. The submission deadline is August 22, and the winners will be announced on September 1. The best overall mod wins a $10,000 cash prize and the "opportunity to leave your mark on the Frostpunk 2 universe," while the second prize is a Frostpunk 2-themed graphics card.

⚫︎ 11 bit studios has unveiled Frostpunk 1886, a remake of the original game slated for release in 2027. Departing from their in-house Liquid Engine, the studio will develop the title using Unreal Engine.

Introduced first as a baby and reappearing at the game’s conclusion before the credits, her fate diverges into two possible outcomes depending on the player’s decisions throughout the campaign.

⚫︎ 11 Bit Studios co-director Jakub Stokalski spoke with Polygon on the topic of mod support, stating that the game thrives from a vibrant modding community. According to him, mod support had always been on their minds since the first Frostpunk game, only to be hindered by their proprietary engine’s limitations.
