Final Fantasy XI comes into the world of Wizardry Variants Daphne with the “Fantasy Castle of the Deepest Dark” collaboration event, bringing in a new quest, several characters, and gear to collect.

Prishe, Iroha, and Zeid Step Up To The Plate
Final Fantasy XI makes its way to the world of Wizardry Variants Daphne with a collaboration event "Fantasy Castle of the Deepest Dark", featuring a new collaboration quest with a new dungeon and story, new adventurers to recruit, and event-only equipment and items to collect. The collaboration went live on July 30th and will last until September 9th, 8:59 PM ET / 11:59 PM PT / September 10th, 12:59 PM JST.
The story of the collaboration tells the tale of an "ill-omened castle" that has appeared in Northern Hollow, vanishing into thin air not long after it was sighted. Through the "Search for the Sons of a Lord" quest available in the Adventurer’s Guild, players must find the lord’s missing sons and see them safely home.
Players can also recruit new adventurers from the world of Final Fantasy XI, namely Prishe, Iroha, and Zeid, two of whom are notably NPCs from their original game. These characters can be recruited on their respective banners, and logging in during the event period will also net players 2 free Moldy Scrolls (pull currency) for each of the collaboration characters, up until August 26th.
The Abhorrent One of Tavnazia, Prishe, is a melee fighter who uses two-handed claw-like knuckles called Godhands to deal damage with her powerful fists. Singer of the Rhapsodies, Iroha, on the other hand, has both ranged and melee capabilities, with her Mizukage Naginata handling face-to-face combat while also appearing to turn or summon a fiery bow for a ranged attack. And finally, Darksteel Hurricane Zeid fights enemies with the Dark-elemental Abyssbringer sword, channeling power into his weapon and slamming down on enemies with deadly strikes.
Alongside their appearance, collab-exclusive Relic Weapons will be available at the Jewelers Exchange for a certain number of Gil. Reforging these forms will grant powerful bonuses and upgrades. The Trade Broker at the Northern Hollow Village Tavern will also open trade with other parties for reforging materials.
Collab Adventurer Recruitment Event Allows One Free Recruit
During the event, the Collab Adventurer Recruitment Event will be held, allowing players to acquire an item that can grant recruitment of one collab or legendary adventurer. Strictly only one item can be obtained from this event, equal to one adventurer. To participate, players must have progressed to a certain point in the Beginning Abyss and make their way to the Royal Capital Luknalia, where they encounter the Man Scavenging Bones.

Wizardry Variants Daphne Continues A Timeless Classic's Legacy
Wizardry Variants Daphne is a 3D dungeon RPG for Steam, iOS, and Android that plays entirely in first-person. In this world, the Abyss opens once every 100 years and is sealed by the current land’s king to protect the kingdom from the horrible curse, done time and time again through generations. However, the king has vanished, leaving the continent in peril, slowly being consumed by death.
However, some strong-willed adventurers seek riches that lie beneath the land, inside the treacherous Labyrinth. Players take on the role of one of these brave warriors and step up to the challenge, descending into the deep for the chance of glory.
The title directly follows the classic Wizardry RPG series, a 3D dungeon-exploration series released back in 1981. Wizardry Variants Daphne is the latest iteration of the classic game, bringing it to an accessible format on mobile devices. It boasts high ratings on Google Play and Apple App Store storefronts and even made it to the App Store’s front page as an Editor’s Choice finalist.
