Fate/Grand Order Collabs with Fate/strange Fake in Limited-Time Event

Fate/Grand Order (FGO) creator TYPE-MOON unveiled a collaboration with Fate/strange Fake (or simply Strange Fake) on X (Twitter). The event takes place on the mobile gacha game's Japanese server from April 25, 2026, at 8:00 PM JST to May 16, 2026, at 12:59 PM JST, with the light novel series’ author, Ryōgo Narita, at the helm of scenario writing.
"This event is a 'spin-off' of both FGO and strange Fake," Narita said in his author’s note on the crossover's webpage, "I wrote this scenario with the intention of creating a bridge between the two worlds."

Players can progress through the story and earn rewards by completing a variety of missions. The quest segments are released daily from April 25 to April 29, with the rollout schedule as follows:

New Servants Prelati and Hippolyta
Strange Fake characters are joining FGO's roster of Servants, illustrated by Shizuki Morii, the same artist behind the novel and manga.
The SSR Caster François and Francesca Prelati (voiced by Maaya Uchida) are bundled in both male and female versions, available only via the collaboration pickup summon. Meanwhile, the SR Rider Welfare Hippolyta (Akira Sekine) comes as a free, permanent Servant unlocked by progressing through the event.
Historically, in the real world, François was an Italian cleric‑alchemist accused of witchcraft after his close friend, Gilles de Rais, was captured by the Inquisition. Hippolyta, on the other hand, is based on the queen of the Amazons from Greek mythology, daughter of the war god Ares and sister to Antiope and Melanippe.
Distorted Sixth Singularity
Participation requires clearing the main Fuyuki quest, though the website noted spoiler warnings specifically for the "Camelot" Singularity (Part 1: Chapter 6) and beyond into Part 2 of the event. As the event is titled in Japanese as "剽滅十字前線アンティオキア" or "Annihilation Crusader Front: Antioch" (machine-translated), it references the real-life historical siege of a major ancient Greek and Roman City, Antioch, during the First Crusade.
The event’s prologue, as revealed on the website, depicts the Master drifting into a deep sleep under mounting reports and looming deadlines, only to awaken once more in the Sixth Singularity. This time, they are met by an unfamiliar Servant (Hippolyta) and encounter a mysterious man and woman (François and Francesca Prelati) who claim they have come to "defile the journey Chaldea has taken thus far."
The synopsis caps off with the player having to "restore Human History once again in a Singularity filled with fakes, and return to the true Chaldea."
Special Bonuses and Campaigns
While the event is ongoing, chosen Servants will benefit from enhanced damage output and Bond Point gains, the latter of which strengthens the player's bond level with Servants. In addition to the new event-exclusive characters, the selection includes Richard I, Gilgamesh, Enkidu, and Hassan of the Hundred Faces, among others.
Complementing the in-game content, a special giveaway for smartphone wallpapers is also underway. Users who share the dedicated event page on social networking sites such as X, Facebook, and LINE can download exclusive original wallpapers. The distribution period spans three weeks, from April 25 to the end of the crossover.
As of now, the collaboration has only been confirmed for players in Japan (JP). FGO’s global server is currently two years behind its JP counterpart, and with previous instances of JP-exclusive promos and TYPE-MOON crossovers in consideration, fans do not expect the Strange Fake event to reach global anytime soon.
What began as a 2008 April Fool's prank in the form of Fate/strange Fake later expanded into a serialized light novel and manga. The story deviates from the events of the visual novel Fate/stay night at a certain point as a new Holy Grail emerges in Snowfield, Nevada, USA. Its anime adaptation, produced by A-1 Pictures, aired from January 3 to March 28, 2026.
Arguably one of the most recognizable names in the "Fate" franchise, Fate/Grand Order is a 2015 turn-based RPG with visual novel elements. The title has consistently ranked at the top of Japan’s mobile revenue charts for both Android and iOS. Following its finale in December 2025, it received a new story arc called "The Beginning of Aftertime" on January 7, 2026.
FGO also had a Japan-exclusive arcade game version launched by Sega in 2018, though it ended service on March 30, 2026.
