Fist of the North Star’s main protagonist, Kenshiro, is coming to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves in June as one of the last DLC fighters for its Season 2 Pass.

Kenshiro Fights From North Star to South Town
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has revealed Kenshiro, protagonist of the Fist of the North Star manga and anime series, as an upcoming DLC guest fighter. Kenshiro is one of the two mystery characters teased during the reveal of the game’s Season Pass 2 last January and is expected to be released in June 2026 as the last fighter.
Kenshiro was revealed at AnimeJapan 2026 through a short trailer, which briefly introduced the character in the art style of the upcoming anime adaptation FIST OF THE NORTH STAR, before showing off his in-game appearance. As he comes from a martial arts-centric series, Kenshiro is expected to fully utilize his signature Hokuto Shinken fighting style in combat.
Publisher SNK first teased Kenshiro’s addition to Fatal Fury: COTW through an animated short tweeted on January 9 that showed the character performing a Hokuto Shinken technique on a criminal, something that would later be incorporated into the full trailer.
Despite this being Kenshiro’s first appearance in an SNK fighter, Fatal Fury also features other crossover characters such as Street Fighter’s Ken and Chun-Li, legendary football player Cristiano Ronaldo, and Swedish DJ Salvatore Ganacci.
Fatal Fury’s Season Pass 2, So Far
Kenshiro’s addition to the roster marks a larger effort by SNK to continuously add characters to Fatal Fury: COTW monthly for its Season Pass 2, beginning in January of 2026. Most recently, the game added Commando Sambo specialist and Terry Bogard love interest Blue Mary to the roster, with Nightmare Geese and Kim Jae Hoon joining earlier.
The next character for Season Pass 2, recurring antagonist Wolfgang Krauser, is expected to be released sometime in April. With Kenshiro being expected to release in June, fan speculation has been running wild for who will be added in May, with some fans on social media pointing towards Art of Fighting boss character Mr. Big as the last character to be revealed for the game’s Season Pass 2.
