DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO Super Limit-Breaking NEO Coming Summer 2026
Features 30+ New Characters and Additional Costumes
DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO introduces the Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC that adds 30+ new characters and more content in the hit anime fighting game. As announced by developer Bandai Namco on April 20, the upcoming expansion is set to launch in Summer 2026.
The Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC features fresh additions spanning the original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Super eras. This expansive roster includes classic characters like Grandpa Gohan, Tao Pai Pai, Spike the Devilman, and Android 8, as well as GT villains such as Super 17 and Nuova Shenron.

The Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC also brings in movie favorites like Super Saiyan Bardock, his entire crew (Fasha, Tora, Borgos, Shugesh), King Vegeta, and Pikkon, as well as Super staples such as Cheelai, Jaco, Champa, and more.
Alongside these new characters, the DLC showcases new costumes for the current roster, featuring Goku’s "End of Z" teal attire, Teen Gohan’s turtle gi, Android 18’s GT outfit, and several other iconic looks.
4 Brand-New Stages and New Super Attacks
To fully immerse Dragon Ball fans, the expansion also adds classic stages from the anime and movies. This includes areas such as Kami’s Lookout, the Kame House, the Bitter Tundra from Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and the Stratosphere from either Earth or Planet Vegeta.
Additionally, players can finish off their opponents with new Super Attacks with Super Saiyaman and Videl’s combo, Piccolo’s new Special Beam Cannon, and Goku’s Kamehameha against Cooler.
New Game Mode and Free Battle System Update

To top it all off, the DLC brings a new game mode designed to push characters beyond their current limits. Players will navigate an in-game map, selecting destinations to engage in various battles and special events.
Accomplishing these tasks rewards players with more stats, extending their power to become "even greater super warriors." Based on the trailer, one of the notable effects players can achieve in this mode is a significantly more powerful Ki charge, featuring a larger and more intense aura-gathering animation.
Aside from the paid content, Sparking! ZERO looks to expand the game’s current battle system by adding new mechanics to make encounters even more fierce and intense. These additions include Chain Blast, which allows players to follow up their attacks with an ally’s special move, and Sparking! Boost, which enables players to gain enhanced power-ups by maxing out their charge meter.

Nearly two years since its release, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO continues to cater to long-time fans in its mission to create the ultimate Dragon Ball fighting title, consistently delivering new characters and elements from across the beloved franchise.
