DbD x Terrifier Collab Adds Art the Clown to the Fog This November 2026

Image

The Dead by Daylight 10th anniversary celebration just announced a collab with one of horror's most terrifying icons: Art the Clown.

Art the Clown Comes to Dead by Daylight This November

More Collabs Coming Soon

Dead by Daylight has officially reached a decade of life. To celebrate, developer Behaviour Interactive hosted a massive anniversary event in Montreal this past weekend, using the stage to lay out a roadmap for the game’s future. At the very end, the developers confirmed what many players had hoped for years: Art the Clown from the Terrifier movie series will officially enter the Fog later this year as a fully playable Killer.

Art the Clown has become one of horror’s fastest-rising names in recent years. Although the Terrifier films started as independent productions with a dedicated cult following, the character’s popularity has grown significantly thanks to the success of its two sequels. He is a slasher villain with an over-the-top personality that has recently established himself as one of horror’s most recognizable villains.

Not much else was shown during the reveal—just Art the Clown being his goofy and somewhat terrifying self on stage—but this collaboration continues Dead by Daylight’s tradition of celebrating horror from different eras. Over the years, the game has welcomed classic names like Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Ghost Face, and just last month, Jason Voorhees. Even Spring Trap from the Five Nights at Freddy’s series got included. Fans of the clown, though, will likely learn more about him, including his Mori, once November 2026 nears.

The Terrifier collaboration was far from the only announcement during the stream. Behaviour revealed a Diablo-inspired cosmetic collection launching in October; while they have only teased Lilith as a Legendary outfit for The Artist, several other Dead by Daylight characters will receive gear based on the iconic action RPG series. Looking toward the end of the year, the developers confirmed that Scooby-Doo cosmetics will arrive this December. So far, only a Scooby onesie was teased.

Fans can look forward to new outfits for The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes (which allow him to dress up as Glenn or Negan). Furthermore, a partnership with heavy metal legends Iron Maiden will bring a Legendary skin for The Huntress modeled after their mascot, Eddie, in celebration of the band’s 50th anniversary. To round out the announcements, a collaboration with Ice Nine Kills is in the works.

Other Announcements During the Dead by Daylight 10th Anniversary Livestream

Beyond the collaborations, the 10th anniversary stream gave a clear roadmap for the game’s evolution. The developers addressed the future of the title by confirming that there are no plans for Dead by Daylight 2; instead, the team is fully committed to upgrading the existing game to keep it relevant for years to come. This includes a visual overhaul scheduled for 2027, which will introduce better character models, realistic facial animations, and enhanced environmental lighting. Players can also expect the introduction of a "dynamic weather" system, with rain and storm effects planned to add more atmosphere to the trials.

More than this, the developers teased the introduction of new experimental game modes, specifically mentioning a 1v1 experience and one that’s zombie-themed mode.

The team is also looking toward community-driven content, with a dedicated chapter titled Chorus of Sin set to arrive this August. This new chapter appears to be developed with heavy feedback from the player base.

Other updates include the introduction of the game’s first indigenous survivor, Shane Wilgwaas, who arrives on June 25th as part of The Life Road chapter.

The celebration also touched upon the highly anticipated Dead by Daylight feature film. Studio executives from Blumhouse joined the stage to confirm that the project is moving forward. The screenplay, penned by Alexandre Aja and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, is now complete, and director Thordur Palsson has been officially tapped to helm the project.

Filming is expected to begin in 2027, with the production aiming to bring the locations and atmosphere of the game to the big screen.

The studio appears to be committed to ensuring that the next ten years of Dead by Daylight are just as impactful as the first. For more on Dead by Daylight, check out our article below!
