Remedy Entertainment has just announced that its award-winning game Control is now available on iPhone and iPad. For $5, it includes improved touch controls along with all released DLCs.

Control at Its Most Affordable Price

Control: Ultimate Edition is now available on iOS devices, bringing Remedy Entertainment’s award-winning action-adventure to a wider audience of players. Following its launch on the App Store, fans were surprised to see it priced at just $5, roughly the cost of a standard candy bar. This represents about an 87% discount compared to its PlayStation and Xbox versions, which are priced at $39.99.

This release is also the definitive edition of Control: Ultimate Edition, including both of its major expansions in the base game. Foundation, the first DLC, takes players into the mysterious underbelly of the Oldest House, diving deeper into its roots to uncover new secrets. AWE, the second and final expansion, bridges the Remedy Connected Universe by bringing Alan Wake into Jesse Faden’s story.

As a result, the iOS version of Control: Ultimate Edition offers the lowest price on the market while still delivering the same quality for its 20 hours plus of gameplay, including its DLCs, all in the palm of your hand. This is perfect for players who haven’t played Remedy’s supernatural series yet.

A New Way to Take Control

Remedy Entertainment announced the mobile release on their channels, particularly X (Twitter) and BlueSky, highlighting the game’s new features, including a revamped control scheme designed specifically for mobile play.

From the outset, Control: Ultimate Edition uses touch controls as players navigate the labyrinthine hallways of the Oldest House as Jesse Faden, the game’s main protagonist. It plays similarly to most mobile games on the market, with the left side of the screen used for movement and the right side handling camera controls.

In the game’s official description on Apple’s App Store, this version of Control: Ultimate Edition will "leverage Apple’s latest hardware and software technologies," including MetalFX upscaling and hardware-accelerated ray tracing on supported iPhone and iPad models.

Control: Ultimate Edition for iPhone requires iOS 26.1 or later and a device with an A17 Pro chip or later. For iPadOS, it requires version 26.1 or later and a device with an M-series chip or an A17 Pro chip. The game also supports controller play and requires 45.1GB of storage space.

Remedy Entertainment has not announced whether an Android port will be available. However, players who want to experience Jesse Faden’s story can still play it through cloud streaming services such as Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce NOW.

Building Hype for Control: Resonant

As Control: Ultimate Edition’s iOS release continues to draw attention, excitement is also building for its sequel, Control: Resonant, which is expected to launch in 2026.

It remains unclear whether Remedy Entertainment plans to bring the sequel to iPhone and iPad. However, the good news is that a Mac release has already been confirmed. While no specific release date has been announced yet, Apple users can still look forward to continuing their Control experience from their devices in the coming months.
