Attack on Titan 3 (AOT 3) has been officially announced at the Summer Game Fest 2026 with a reveal trailer. According to developer Omega Force and publisher Koei Tecmo, the game faithfully adapts Hajime Isayama’s entire anime and manga narrative arc, from Eren's early days in the Survey Corps to the dramatic finale that shocked the community. "The fight for freedom begins and ends here," the trailer said.
The developers have scheduled a more comprehensive information presentation for July 1, 2026, with fans anticipating special guest appearances by voice actresses Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa) and Shiori Mikami (Krista). Additional details about the global live stream will be shared in the coming weeks.
Players need not revisit earlier entries in the action game series to catch up to the third installment's events, as AOT 3 is set to encompass the entire storyline of Isayama’s dark fantasy that features humanity's high‑stakes battles against the Nine Titans. Culminating the trilogy, the upcoming title also equips players with an enhanced omnidirectional mobility gear system, intensifying the dramatic impact of the terrors in Paradis Island and beyond.
Attack on Titan follows protagonist Eren Jaeger and his childhood friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, who live among humanity’s remnants confined within protective walls against the threat of man‑eating Titans. After a Colossal Titan breaches their hometown of Shiganshina and devours Eren’s mother, the three enlist in the elite Survey Corps to fight the Titans and navigate a web of war and political intrigue alongside a memorable cast of characters, such as Levi Ackerman, Erwin Smith, and Sasha Braus.
Developed by Omega Force and published by Koei Tecmo, Attack on Titan 3 is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam at an unconfirmed date. More information about the game will be revealed during the July 1 live stream.
