Ash Echoes Confirms End of Global Service
Downloads and Purchases are Now Disabled
Ash Echoes will officially go offline on June 18, 2026, putting an end to the world-shifting RPG's brief time on the global scale. Developer NEOCRAFT confirmed the news through the game's official X (Twitter) account last May 6, 2026, though no specific reason for the decision was announced to the public.
Looking at its history, Ash Echoes ran a closed beta test in China around 2023 and then opened global pre-registration in mid-2024. The title only made its international debut in November 2024. At this point, the game will have only lasted less than two years by the time servers shut down. However, the Chinese server will remain functional, but this has been on a low-power maintenance mode since January 2026.
The timeline of the closure began immediately following the announcement. As of May 7, 2026, new downloads and in-game purchases are no longer available, though existing players can continue logging in until the end-of-service date. That same day also marked the release of the game's final content update, the Chapter 9 Main Story Event.
Players Can Transfer In-Game Currency

Players don't have to leave Ash Echoes entirely empty-handed. The NEOCRAFT team is offering account transfers and bonuses to other games under them, specifically Tree of Savior: Neo and Tales of Wind: Radiant Rebirth. Any real-money purchases made in the game will be compensated through equivalent in-game currency on those titles.
As a final gesture toward its remaining player base, NEOCRAFT is currently distributing daily in-game rewards. These include Resonance Clues and Momentary Backflash, valuable gacha and upgrade currency, starting from May 7 all the way to the end of service.
Why Did Ash Echoes Shut Down?

NEOCRAFT kept its official statement brief and did not cite the direct cause for the shutdown. The financial data, however, paints a fairly unambiguous picture.
According to revenue figures sourced via AppMagic, Ash Echoes made a modest impression at launch but saw its momentum collapse quickly. By March 2025, both download numbers and revenue had fallen and showed no signs of recovery. Estimated total player spending across the game's lifetime came in at roughly $865,000, with net revenue sitting around $571,000.
The game also never surpassed one million downloads worldwide, and monthly earnings reportedly dropped even lower by December 2025. For a live-service RPG operating in one of mobile gaming's most competitive genres, those figures have likely made it difficult to sustain continued development and server costs.
What Is Ash Echoes?

Ash Echoes is a real-time tactical RPG built around a multiverse premise. Set in a dimension-spanning realm called The World Senlo, players take on the role of Director of S.E.E.D., assembling a team of characters to take on threats from across multiple worlds. Combat is fast-paced and strategy-driven, with a roguelike mode offering an additional layer of challenge for dedicated players.
Despite its lukewarm commercial performance, the game earned itself a dedicated fanbase. Community reactions to the shutdown announcement were overwhelmingly sorrowful, with players on Reddit expressing that Ash Echoes offered a good mobile gaming experience.
Many called on NEOCRAFT to at least preserve the game in an offline format, though that request appears to have an unclear future for now. Until further notice, Ash Echoes will remain playable only until June 18, 2026.
