ARC Raiders Riven Tides Launches April 28
Reclaim The Coast
ARC Raiders recently teased its Riven Tides update, which is scheduled to launch on April 28, 2026. As showcased by developer Embark Studios in a new trailer, the expansion introduces a sun-bleached beachside map and a formidable new ARC variant.
The upcoming Riven Tides map lies on the western coast of the Rust Belt, featuring an abandoned coastline, a fading resort, and a towering dockyard. Despite its rugged state, hidden treasures still await discovery within Hotel Panorama Azzurro and the surrounding Azzurro Beach.
The ARC Turbine

The Riven Tides update will also debut a new towering mechanical enemy, the ARC Turbine. While the purpose of this floating structure remains a mystery, it drifts quietly across the Rust Belt and becomes lethally active when approached.
The Turbine utilizes aggressive defensive mechanisms to test the resolve of any squad, proving itself a formidable opponent. Embark Studios noted that "its defensive abilities are brutal, posing a new challenge to Raiders and demanding skill, patience, and nerves in equal measure."
New Minor Map Condition and Items

Within this sandy beachfront, the update introduces a new minor map condition called Beachcombing. Players can scavenge for the Dockmaster’s Detector throughout the area, using it to sweep the coastline and uncover valuable loot buried deep beneath the surface.
To aid Raiders in traversing the treacherous dunes, the Riven Tides update introduces two new fall mitigation items: the Crash Mat and the Powered Descender. These tools enable more aggressive verticality, allowing squads to safely drop from towering dockyard cranes or rapidly rappel down cliffside overlooks.
Last Resort Event, Avian Alarm, and New Cosmetics

Following the Riven Tides update, the Last Resort event, running through May 25, introduces a seasonal progression system where player XP is converted into Merits across all maps. Raiders can accelerate their earnings by hunting for miniature Ship Models hidden throughout the environment, with each collectible providing a specific Merit boost based on its rarity.
Accumulating these Merits allows players to clear three pages of exclusive rewards, ranging from the Junior Outfit and Hydrologist backpack to more granular unlocks like the Hose attachment and Brass Faucet charm. Beyond these cosmetics and new emotes, the event offers a total of 250 Raider Tokens for those who complete the seasonal track.

There will also be a new Raider Project called Avian Alarm, where players must build a makeshift security system to detect incoming tremors and changes in the atmosphere. To build the Avian Alarm, Raiders must deploy cages at specific buoys to capture local birds across five distinct stages of progression.
Completing the project yields essential gear and cosmetics, most notably the Dockmaster’s Detector, alongside Gel Patches, the Bird House backpack attachment, and the Fist In Air emote. Dedicated players who see the project through to its final stage will also earn a total of 250 Raider Tokens.
New cosmetics will also be available with the ceremonial Solare Set and the athletic, high-visibility Rachetta Set, followed by a steady rollout throughout May. These upcoming additions range from the maritime-themed Corsaro Set with its robotic prosthetics to the rugged Castaway and desert-ready Sandveil sets, catering to diverse playstyles from aggressive speed to patient stealth.
Looking Beyond

The Riven Tides update serves as the definitive conclusion to the Escalation Phase for ARC Raiders. This milestone follows the successful launches of the Headwinds, Shrouded Sky, and Flashpoint updates, each of which significantly expanded the extraction shooter with fresh mechanics and environmental threats.
While Embark Studios has yet to reveal specific details regarding the roadmap following this phase, the community is already buzzing with anticipation for a major summer-themed expansion that could mirror the previous Cold Snap winter update. This transition marks a pivotal moment for the game’s live-service journey, potentially setting the stage for an entirely new narrative arc or a shift in how the Rust Belt evolves.
ARC Raiders is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below.
