Ranked Battle Season 17 in Pokemon Legends: Z-A will run from September 17 to October 08, 2026, banning all Restricted Legendary Pokemon along with providing Mega Shards, Sport Balls, and all the previous Ranked Battle Mega Stones as the Ranked Rewards. Season 17 of Ranked Battles is now underway and will run from September 17, 2026 until October 08, 2026. This Ranked Battle event features rewards like Mega Shards and Sport Balls. This Ranked Match bans all Restricted Legendary Pokemon like the Aura Trio, Super-ancient Pokemon, and Mewtwo!

The Season 17 ruleset is limited to only Standard and Mythical Pokemon! There is no limits on how many Mythical Pokemon can be on your team. All Restricted Legendary Pokemon are not allowed to participate.
How to Get All Legendary Pokemon
Details of Legal Teams & Pokemon
- A player’s team cannot contain two Pokémon with the same Lumiose or Hyperspace Pokedex number.
- All Pokemon will have their stats scaled to Level 50.
- Two Pokemon cannot hold the same item.

You can obtain all the previous Ranked Battle Mega Stones once you reach Rank S in Season 17. If you are not able to obtain them during the previous seasons, you can also get these Mega Stones upon reaching Rank Y to S, respectively.
You can also receive Sport Balls and other Items as you climb through this season's ladder.

Players who have reached certain milestones during Season 17 will receive rewards after each season ends and the results are announced and are the based on the results of your battles. Players need to finish at least one match with a win or loss during the season to be eligible for rewards.
Season 17 Ruleset
- You will obtain Points depending on your Rank and Actions Taken. Even if you lose, you will receive points.
- You cannot go down a rank once your tier has been raised. No matter how many times you lose, your Tier will stay the same.
- An Internet connection is required in playing Ranked Battles. You will need an Nintendo Switch Online Subscription to participate in all online activities in Pokemon including Ranked Battles.
