The Elder Scrolls: Blades is permanently closing its servers across all platforms this June. With the game now delisted on all store pages, Bethesda placed a heavy discount on in-app purchases for players who have the game installed.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades is officially ending its services on June 30, with the free-to-play title’s store pages for Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS already delisted. While Bethesda has yet to share the specific time of closure, they stated that all items in the game’s store are heavily discounted to 1 Gem or 1 Sigil each.
According to an in-game announcement, the discount will run until servers close in June, while giving all players who still have the game installed "a free bundle of Gems and Sigils" to let them "enjoy all the content Blades has to offer".
The bundle includes over 50,000 Gems and 1,000 Sigils, which players can claim by scrolling at the bottom of the server shutdown announcement. As of writing, new accounts can also still claim the bundle, provided they have the game installed on their devices.
Initially Announced to Come to More Platforms
Bethesda’s director and executive producer, Todd Howard, unveiled The Elder Scrolls: Blades during E3 2018 as "a massive first-person RPG with console-quality graphics". It followed a former Blade, a warrior in the service of the emperor, on the run from the elven supremacist council, the Thalmor. They return home to find it decimated, with an unknown enemy lurking beneath the shadows.
Howard initially promised that Blades would be coming to all current-generation consoles, PC, and even VR. With its closure this June, the Nintendo Switch was the only console platform to receive the game, barring any future rereleases.
Bethesda also teased The Elder Scrolls VI during the same presentation. However, little has been shared about the game in the eight years since, with Todd Howard even telling fans recently to "just pretend we didn’t announce it".
As Elder Scrolls Blades is now shutting down and the next mainline title is still a long way off, there won’t be any new releases from the franchise soon besides the Nintendo Switch 2 port of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered in 2026.
