Bandai Namco has announced that the final DLC character for Season 3 of Tekken 8 will be revealed during the upcoming Combo Breaker event in Chicago, Illinois. According to the announcement from the official Tekken Project social media account, the reveal will take place shortly before the Top 8 stage of the tournament begins.
It will be unveiled through an official video presentation scheduled for around 2:00 P.M. PT / 5:00 P.M. ET on May 24. The reveal will be broadcast in conjunction with the tournament’s livestream coverage, with viewers encouraged to tune into the official Japanese stream for the premiere. Who is Tekken 8's Final DLC Fighter?
The upcoming character is described as the fourth and final addition in this season’s roster. The Season 3 Character Pass launched on February 10, 2026. The first three legacy fighters of Season 3 include Kunimitsu, who releases this spring, followed by Bob in the summer, and the kangaroo fighter Roger Jr., slated for autumn.
The identity of this fourth DLC addition has been kept confidential by the developers, which naturally generated speculation among competitive players and fans alike. Unlike prior reveals that focused on returning characters, community boards on platforms such as Reddit are split on whether the final slot will introduce a brand-new original combatant or feature a crossover guest character. Season 1, after all, concluded with Final Fantasy XVI’s Clive Rosfield, while Season 2 ended with the debut of an entirely original character, Miary Zo.
A large portion of the community believes the developers will choose another big guest character to finish the year with hype. The most popular speculation circulating among fans points toward Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy 7 as a dream collaboration.

It acts simultaneously as a Tekken World Tour (TWT) Master tournament and an Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 qualifying tournament. According to the EWC, the top three placing players in the Tekken 8 pool at Combo Breaker will directly qualify for the million-dollar tournament, which is scheduled to take place this coming August in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Combo Breaker, though, will officially stream live on YouTube. Fans can tune in starting at 8:10 A.M. PT / 11:00 A.M. ET, just hours before the grand character unveiling takes place on the main stage. Audiences can follow the action live over the weekend as global competitors narrow down the 1,200-player field to the final eight.
