Stranger Than Heaven TGS 2026 Livestream Delayed Due to Equipment Issues
Broadcast Resumed at 5:00 A.M. PT / 8:00 A.M. ET
The Stranger Than Heaven TGS 2026 Special Opening Night livestream ran into technical difficulties shortly after showing the first few minutes of the game. Around 10 minutes into the broadcast, viewers saw the story introduction and a brief look at combat before the stream was suddenly interrupted.
SEGA and RGG Studio had promoted the broadcast as a showcase of all-new footage, live gameplay, and hands-on demo coverage from Tokyo Game Show 2026. The presentation was also expected to feature three of the game's five locations and introduce its "Showbiz" gameplay element.
The interruption came without warning. SEGA West later acknowledged the issue in a comment during the broadcast, stating, "We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties. Please stand by. We thank you for your patience."
Around 15 minutes after the interruption, Stranger Than Heaven game's producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto appeared on screen to apologize for the issue. He said the team was working to restore the broadcast and asked viewers to return for a restart at around 9:00 PM JST, which is 5:00 AM PT / 8:00 AM ET.
At exactly 9:00 PM JST, the broadcast resumed and restarted from the beginning. The stream went back to the opening portion of the game before continuing with the TGS 2026 presentation.
