Pokémon GO Rolls Out Back-to-Back April Events
Replay: GO Bigger with the Kanto Region Giants
Pokémon GO maintains the momentum of the series’ 30th anniversary through upcoming events this month. "Replay: GO Bigger" will take place on April 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, bringing back the Gigantamax forms of Kanto region starters Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, as well as Generation 1 fan-favorite, Gengar.
Players can encounter these Pokémon in Power Spots, with the possibility of finding their Shiny variants.

The following bonuses will be in effect throughout the event:
⚫︎ Max Particles - collection limit increased to 1,600; can gain 8x more from Power Spots. These energy particles enable players to enter Max Battles and train Max Moves for their Pokémon.
⚫︎ Power Spots - will all host Gigantamax Battles, refresh more frequently, and have additional Power Spots.
⚫︎ Special Trades - maximum of three for the day.
Other bonuses will also be active outside of the main event's designated duration. As early as 12:00 AM on the same day until 5:00 PM local time, players can earn twice as many Max Particles from exploring 1/4 of the Adventuring distance via the Nearby menu and with Adventure Sync.
From April 24 at 5:00 PM PDT / 8:00 PM EDT to April 25 at 6:00 PM PDT / 9:00 PM EDT, the daily limit for Remote Raids will increase from 10 to 20.

For those seeking event-exclusive boosts to game progress, they can purchase the event ticket for $4.99 USD to obtain the following:
⚫︎ 1 Max Mushroom
⚫︎ 25,000 XP
⚫︎ 6,400 Max Particles
⚫︎ 2x XP from Max Battles
A Max Mushroom brings the odds to one's favor, as it allows Gigantamax and Dynamax Pokémon to inflict double damage in Max Battles for 30 minutes. Max Particles strengthen a Trainer's roster of Max Pokémon, while XP is necessary to level up.
Sustainability Week 2026

April events in Pokémon GO highlight more than just the Kanto giants. Running from April 14 at 10:00 AM to April 20 at 8:00 PM local time, "Sustainability Week" is set to debut the Galar region's Silicobra and Sandaconda, alongside Galarian Corsola donning pink sunglasses. Shiny Toedscool will also make its first appearance, discoverable in grassy and forested areas.
Here is the schedule of different Pokémon that will appear more frequently while the event is ongoing, with a chance to encounter their Shiny forms:
⚫︎ April 14 at 10:00 AM to April 16 at 10:00 AM local time – Togetic and Costumed Galarian Corsola
⚫︎ April 16 at 10:00 AM to April 18 at 10:00 AM local time – Trubbish and Costumed Galarian Corsola
⚫︎ April 18 at 10:00 AM to April 20 at 8:00 PM local time – Lapras and Costumed Galarian Corsola

In addition, the event GO Pass grants access to the following bonuses for every Major Milestone achieved:
⚫︎ Tier 1 – 2x XP for spinning a PokéStop (3x if with GO Pass Deluxe)
⚫︎ Tier 2 – 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period
All players will automatically receive the GO Pass: April for free starting on April 7 at 10:00 AM local time. For faster progression and more rewards, they can opt for the paid upgrades with GO Pass Deluxe ($7.99 USD) or GO Pass Deluxe + 10 Ranks ($9.99 USD). The passes are valid until May 5 at 10:00 AM local time.
Other April Events in Pokémon GO

Following Pokémon Day on February 27, Pokémon GO has launched multiple events as part of its 10th anniversary and the wider 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. April continues the ongoing stream of celebrations.
On April 1, the AR title introduced Mimikyu as part of the "A Shockingly Good Time" event, rather than as an April Fools' prank. Meanwhile, Tinkatink is slated to headline the upcoming Community Day on April 11. Other major events scheduled this month include Hatch Day on April 18 and Max Battle Day on April 25.
