GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE is bringing together Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal in a crossover event scheduled to begin this August. For the first time in a gacha collab event, all three modern Persona titles will appear together.
NIKKE x Persona Begins This August 13
Key Visual Revealed; More Information to be Announced
GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE’s collaboration with the Persona series will begin on August 13, as announced by developer SHIFT UP and publisher Level Infinite in an official press release posted on the 2nd of August. The crossover brings together Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal as part of the Persona series’ 30th anniversary celebration in 2026.
The announcement follows NIKKE's Summer Special Broadcast in June, where the collaboration first appeared as a brief teaser with no confirmed details beyond which Persona games will be involved. Now, though, it received a key visual, featuring members of Counters turned away from view while holding symbolic gifts associated with the three Persona games.

The artwork partitions squad members Neon, Anis, and Rapi into color-coded panels matching each featured game’s signature aesthetic. Neon stands in the left blue-hued panel while holding a brass pocket watch set to midnight to reference the Dark Hour motif of Persona 3 Reload.
Anis occupies the yellow panel in the center and carries a retro analog television behind her back to represent the Midnight Channel from Persona 4 Golden.
Rapi appears in the right red-and-black halftone panel while holding a Phantom Thieves Calling Card from Persona 5 Royal.
Neither Level Infinite nor Atlus has disclosed how the crossover will incorporate the three games. The announcement does not identify which Persona characters will appear or whether the event will introduce limited-time playable units, costumes, or other rewards. In their press release, Level Infinite did promise that "further details of the collaboration will be revealed in stages on the official GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE X (formerly Twitter) account and official website," likely as the launch date nears.

Fans, however, assumed that the collab will at least have one representative from each game. NIKKE’s playable cast consists almost entirely of women, so community speculation has naturally focused on the Persona series’ female party members.
Among the most frequently discussed candidates is Aigis from Persona 3 Reload. As an anti-Shadow suppression weapon with built-in firearms and mechanical armor, Aigis is widely viewed as a natural fit for NIKKE's setting and combat style.
For Persona 4 Golden, discussions have largely focused on Naoto Shirogane, whose use of revolves in the original game aligns with NIKKE’s inclination for firearms.
Persona 5 Royal has produced a wider range of predictions, though. Ann Takamaki and Makoto Niijima appear most frequently in fan discussions, largely because they rank among the series' most popular characters. There is little consensus beyond that, as every female Phantom Thief fights with firearms to some degree.
NIKKE x Persona Challenges the Infamous "P5 Curse"

The collaboration spans three separate Persona games, which is unprecedented, seeing as previous crossover projects involving the series have almost always centered on a single title, most commonly Persona 5 and its Phantom Thieves.
Persona 5 has appeared in collaborations across numerous live-service games over the past several years, including Another Eden, Identity V, AFK Arena, and Call of Duty: Mobile. Persona 3 and Persona 4 have received crossover appearances far less frequently, with the most recent example being Persona 3 Reload's collaboration with Arknights. The inclusion of all three has led many players to describe the event as one of the series’ most ambitious crossover projects to date.

The announcement even revived talk of the "Persona 5 curse"—the meme that a Persona 5 crossover inevitably spells doom for a mobile game. Fans joked that since this event is split across three games, Nikke’s odds of shutting down have officially dropped to 33%.
The joke has never held up under scrutiny. Plenty of games have continued to thrive after collaborating with Persona, including Granblue Fantasy, Puzzle & Dragons, and Identity V. NIKKE occupies an even stronger position than many of those titles did at the time.
Gacha Revenue, a website that tracks estimated monthly earnings using Sensor Tower market intelligence, placed NIKKE among July 2026’s five highest-grossing gacha games worldwide. Only HoYoverse’s three biggest titles and Naruto Mobile ranked above it.

Whether the so-called "Persona 5 curse" has any truth to it is something only time will tell. For now, NIKKE players have a collaboration to look forward to when the event begins on August 13.
