Epic Seven heads to Steam with a playable demo available from October 8 throughout Steam Next Fest, giving players a first-hand look ahead of its full release later this month. Read on to learn more about the game’s added platform and other details.
Epic Seven Offers Demo Before Its Full Steam Release
Demo Available Until the End of Steam Next Fest
Epic Seven's Steam demo is now live from October 8 through the end of the Steam Next Fest on October 26, with the full game following on October 29th. Notably, the demo is a separate preview build, so progress will be wiped once the demo period ends. Players who want to bring their existing account to Steam can convert it through the official STOVE website beforehand.
The Steam release was actually one of the surprise announcements during the game's 8th Anniversary Showcase on August 22, 2026. Epic Seven first launched in 2018 as a mobile RPG and built a dedicated following with its turn-based anime combat, hand-drawn 2D art, and competitive PvP World Arena. The debut marks a major step, and it arrives alongside Foundry, a brand-new dedicated server that opens on launch day with its own festivities.
Foundry’s starter events will be available until the year’s end to help new accounts catch up quickly. A growth buff boosts Hero EXP, Gold, and Account Rank EXP by 30%, while reaching Rank 70 earns the limited 5* Hero Luna and her Glacial Purity skin. Players can also claim up to 1,260 free Covenant Summons, tickets used for gacha, over the duration of the event period.
Anticipation has been building, with more than 9,000 users already following the game's Steam page. With its 8th anniversary celebrated only last August, the move to Steam has drawn a positive response from fans, many noting how far the game has come. The Next Fest demo also gives newcomers and veterans a chance to see how the game runs on PC before launch.
