Honkai: Nexus Anima "Aspect Exploration Project" Recruitment Begins
Registration Now Open

Honkai: Nexus Anima (HNA) has officially opened recruitment for its "Aspect Exploration Project," offering fans a preview of the latest developments in the upcoming creature-collecting strategy title. As announced by developer HoYoverse on April 20, interested players can now register via the official sign-up post on HoYoLAB.
Unlike the previous public Nexus Bond Test, the Aspect Exploration Project is a small-scale, confidential technical test focused on recent gameplay improvements and system updates. Selected participants will be required to sign a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) that prohibits sharing screenshots, livestreams, or video recordings of the beta content.
According to HoYoverse, the Aspect Exploration Project will be available on PC, iOS, and Android. There is currently no fixed deadline to register, so interested fans should stay tuned for more updates coming soon.
Anima Battle Improvements

Alongside the recruitment for the confidential beta, the developers shared fresh insights into the game’s development. In the latest DevTalk Phase III post, HoYoverse showcased significant improvements to the Anima Battle system and provided a first look at several upcoming characters.
During the previous Nexus Bond Test, some players raised concerns regarding HNA’s gameplay and visuals, particularly during Anima Battles. In the latest DevTalk, the studio addressed this feedback, noting that they aim to "make battles between Anima more exciting" by introducing "large, powerful foes" to ensure combat remains intense and engaging.
Introducing New Characters and Areas

Aside from the combat updates, the developers also introduced several new characters that fans will encounter throughout the HNA world. Each of them boasts a unique visual style, with their individual stories waiting to be uncovered as players explore the game's narrative.
One of the characters featured looks strikingly similar to Honkai Impact 3rd’s Carole Pepper. This continues the trend of HNA adding characters from other HoYoverse titles, with characters like Honkai: Star Rail’s (HSR) Blade and Honkai Impact 3rd’s (Hi3) Kiana previously confirmed during Honkai Star Rail’s Concert livestream.
Furthermore, the DevTalk post highlighted new areas for players to explore in the town of Iia. These include the Kakatini Grand Hotel, a resort surrounded by palm trees, the bright neon-lit Pedestrian Street, and the alluring Fleming Tower.
The studio noted that these characters and environments are still in development; therefore, the final in-game versions remain subject to change. Regardless, fans are hyped to see major improvements for the highly anticipated auto-chess battler.
