Gang of Dragon Development in Question After Nagoshi Studio Website Goes Offline

GANG OF DRAGON Shin Ji-seong confronts a masked person while being stabbed

GANG OF DRAGON faces more uncertainty as Nagoshi Studio’s official website is no longer accessible, while the game’s Steam page remains live as "Coming soon" amid funding questions.

Nagoshi Studio Site Going Offline Adds to GANG OF DRAGON Uncertainty

Steam Listing Still Shows the Game as Coming Soon

GANG OF DRAGON is facing renewed uncertainty after Nagoshi Studio’s official website went offline. The site may still appear in search results, but direct links to its pages now lead to an unavailable page.

The Steam page remains live at the time of writing and still lists GANG OF DRAGON as "Coming soon." Nagoshi Studio has not issued a public statement explaining why its official website is no longer accessible or whether the change is connected to the studio’s reported funding situation.

This differs from the earlier YouTube incident, when GANG OF DRAGON’s official channel and videos briefly disappeared before later returning online. At the time, the game’s product page and Steam listing were still available, while the current situation leaves one of Nagoshi Studio’s own official pages inaccessible.

Funding Questions Followed Soon After The Game Awards Reveal

GANG OF DRAGON was revealed during The Game Awards 2025 as the debut project from Nagoshi Studio. The studio was founded by Toshihiro Nagoshi, best known as the creator of the Yakuza and Like a Dragon series, which made the announcement notable for fans of crime dramas and character-driven action games.

The trailer presented GANG OF DRAGON as a new action-adventure crime story set in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, with Ma Dong-seok starring as Shin Ji-seong. However, questions around the project grew less than three months later when Bloomberg reported that NetEase would stop financing Nagoshi Studio beginning in May.

Bloomberg reported that employees were informed of the decision, and that a NetEase spokesperson confirmed the company "will stop financing the studio from May." The report also said Nagoshi Studio was still looking for additional backing to complete the project.

That context makes the website going offline more notable. GANG OF DRAGON is Nagoshi Studio’s first announced game, and it still has no final release date, so the loss of the studio’s official site adds another unresolved question around the project.

The official website going offline does not confirm that GANG OF DRAGON has been canceled. However, it raises more questions about the project’s status, especially given the earlier YouTube incident, the funding issue, and the lack of a new official development update.

For now, the game’s public status remains uncertain. Its Steam page is still available, but Nagoshi Studio’s own site being offline makes the project harder to track through official channels.

GANG OF DRAGON is an action-adventure crime drama set in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, starring Ma Dong-seok as Shin Ji-seong. Until Nagoshi Studio comments on the website or the game’s development, the Steam listing remains the clearest active official page for the project.
