Dave the Diver x Subnautica 2 DLC Announced for Early 2027
Dave and Bancho Travel to the Ocean Moon of Proteus
Mintrocket unveiled the crossover for Dave the Diver x Subnautica 2 with an announcement trailer during the Triple-i Initiative showcase on October 8th. In the DLC, Dave and Chef Bancho enter a portal to Proteus, the ocean moon where the new content takes place. This final DLC will be released for free, and it is set for a launch window in early 2027.
According to the Steam page, players can explore Proteus's unfamiliar waters, gather resources, and meet creatures unlike anything in their world. Dave can also help out the new friends he meets along the way, and every new creature discovered could potentially become a new recipe idea for Bancho's menu.
Dave the Diver’s Final DLC

Prior expansions brought in content featuring Dredge and Godzilla, and the larger In the Jungle expansion came in June this year.
Several comments have been enthusiastic about the Subnautica content, with many already calling this one of their favorite collaborations to date. Most, on the other hand, felt sad, as this was the last DLC for the game. Moving forward, players expressed their hopes that the studio could instead create future internal or story content updates to keep the game alive.
