Closers World is shutting down on June 24, 2026, at 5:00 AM UTC (June 23, 2026, at 10:00 PM PT / June 24, 2026, at 1:00 AM ET). The announcement comes from the official Closers World Service Team, which said the decision was made after reviewing the game’s operational circumstances.
The game will remain playable until the shutdown date. However, once service ends, players will no longer be able to access the game, its online features, game data, characters, or items.
Customer support will close at the same time. The schedule may still change depending on circumstances, with any updates to be announced separately.
N-Coin Purchases and New Accounts Already Ended
Closers World has already ended N-coin purchases and new account registration. Both functions became unavailable on May 20, 2026, at 5:00 AM UTC (May 19, 2026, at 10:00 PM PT / May 20, 2026, at 1:00 AM ET).
This means new players can no longer register, and existing players can no longer buy N-coins before the shutdown. The game itself remains online for now, but the service is already moving toward its final phase.
Refund details have not been fully posted yet. The notice says refund eligibility, procedures, and applicable periods will be shared in a separate announcement, with refunds processed according to each platform store’s policies where applicable.

Community discussion had also raised concerns even before the shutdown notice. In a Reddit thread from two years ago, one player asked if Closers was dead and pointed to Steam chart activity showing around 30 players at the time.
A reply in that same thread noted that Steam numbers do not fully show the game’s total player base because some players use the website launcher. However, the same reply also said Closers had a low player base for years, and that activity mainly remained around endgame content.
That does not make the shutdown painless for remaining players. However, the modest public Steam activity, earlier community concerns, and recent live-service updates give more context to the official notice’s mention of operational circumstances.
Characters, Items, and Game Data Will Become Inaccessible
The shutdown will affect more than just login access. After service termination, all game data, characters, and items will become inaccessible, and the official notice says recovery will not be possible after the service ends.
Players who want screenshots, character records, or final memories from Closers World may want to handle those before June 24. The announcement also notes that official community channels, including forums, social media pages, and Discord, may close after service termination.
