From the creators of Road 96, Tides of Tomorrow is a brand-new, story-rich adventure game where the player, a Tidewalker, has to make choices to survive the perils of the post-apocalyptic, troubled ocean planet of Elynd. It is slated for release on April 22, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam), with a free demo going live on April 14.
The "plasticpunk" game is characterized by a choice-driven design that ranges across interactions with NPCs and the traces left behind by previous players. In an asynchronous multiplayer fashion, the journeys undertaken by friends also ripple into one's world, making awareness and adaptation key to survival. Sharing the same world entails tangible consequences that flow into the next player's experience.

⚫︎ Tides of Tomorrow producer Kevin Bard says that the game's art style is inspired by the Romanticism and Impressionism art movements, the vibrant post-apocalyptic worlds of Borderlands and Rage, and the French-German comic Gung Ho. Gung Ho's illustrator, Thomas von Kummant, also lent a hand by creating the game's first concept art.
⚫︎ Producer Kevin Bard and game director Adrien Poncet revealed that the concept of an asynchronous, collaborative storytelling only began taking shape due to Road 96's methodical pre-production process.
