Petit Planet Overview
Petit Planet is an upcoming life simulation game developed and published by HoYoverse. It is the company’s first project within the life sim genre, marking a departure from their established work in action RPGs and gacha-based titles such as Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. The game features a stylized 3D cartoon art style and is currently in development for PC and mobile, with additional platforms planned but not yet confirmed.
Players take on the role of caretakers of their own planets, developing ecosystems, building connections with fuzzy creatures called Neighbors, and eventually linking their worlds into a larger galaxy. The title integrates both traditional single-player life sim elements (such as farming, fishing, mining, and crafting) and multiplayer/social systems through exploration and shared hubs like the Galactic Bazaar.
Petit Planet Gameplay
Petit Planet blends classic life simulation activities with broader systems of planetary management and multiplayer interaction. Players begin on a personal planet and gradually nurture it by planting crops, decorating interiors, customizing the environment, and interacting with Neighbors. As the planet flourishes, its vitality—called Luca—transforms the landscape, introducing new biomes, features, and lifeforms.
Beyond the player’s personal world, the game introduces interplanetary exploration through Starsea Voyages, where players and their Neighbors travel to other islets, discover rare creatures, and uncover recipes. Social interaction extends into a shared space, the Galactic Bazaar, functioning as a hub for events, multiplayer gatherings, and trading.
