ONTOS Overview
ONTOS, formerly known as ONTOS, is an upcoming horror game by developer Frictional Games, creators of the widely acclaimed survival horror game classics of the 2010s, Amnesia and Soma. It takes place in a moon base called Samsara—what was once a hotel built atop the ruins of a mining colony. Samsara houses dark secrets and even darker threats, and at the helm of the experiments conducted in this strange place is the protagonist’s own father, a mysterious yet celebrated visionary named Felix.
ONTOS is set to be released sometime in 2026 for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

ONTOS Gameplay
There are no details yet regarding the possible gameplay of ONTOS. However, one of the initial clues provided by Frictional Games during the ARG hinted that ONTOS may be related to their 2015 game, Soma, which is a first-person survival horror game. It is highly likely that ONTOS will be a continuation of Frictional Games’ long-standing tradition of making first-person survival horror games.
