⚫︎ Dead by Daylight unveils its Attack on Titan, Darkest Dungeon, and Alien on the Bloodbound Trailer. The major update is slated to launch on April 28, 2026, and will feature a plethora of new cosmetics from the IP crossovers, as well as the return of the 2v8 game mode.
⚫︎ Patch 9.5.0 is now live, marking the debut of the newest survivor, Kwon Tae-Young, along with a new map, the Trickster update, and new features.
⚫︎ Creative Director Dave Richard stated that he would "love" remake more of the older Dead by Daylight chapters as he feels that there are "so many stories left to be told." However, there are currently no new plans of a new upcoming remake following the return of All-Kill Comeback.

Dead by Daylight Overview
Dead by Daylight (or DbD) is an asymmetrical horror-survival multiplayer game developed by Behavior Interactive. It was released on June 16, 2016 initially only available on the PC, where over the years after launch, it was ported to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It received a spin-off mobile game titled ‘Dead by Daylight Mobile’ which was launched in April 2020, but was removed from official app stores by January 2025 and is scheduled to go offline in March 2025.
Dead by Daylight has a group of four survivors spawned in a map with randomly generated obstacles and structures with the goal to repair 5 out of 7 generators, powering the exit gates and escaping alive. They must avoid a powerful, roaming Killer controlled by a lone player whose goal is to injure all survivors and impale them onto hooks, in order to be sacrificed to an eldritch force known as the Entity. The Entity has cosmic powers that are able to bring forth iconic characters from horror franchises in video games, movies, and series, be them humans, villains, or monsters.
Survivors must enter The Fog and escape the Trials in order to escape the Killer, lest they be sacrificed to The Entity and be Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight Gameplay
Dead by Daylight is a 4vs1 survival-horror game where four Survivors must find and repair five Generators across a large enclosed map and power the Exit Gates in order to escape. On the hunt for them is a single Killer with unique powers to trap, injure, capture, enfeeble, and maim them in order to hang them on hooks and sacrifice to The Entity.
Survivors must find the randomly scattered Generators and stay in place to fully repair them. During the period, they must perform random skill checks that pop up every once in a while. Failure to succeed in skill checks will result in a visual and auditory notification for the Killer, alerting them of the Survivor’s location.
As a Killer, they must make use of their unique power and strategically track, hunt and chase, and ‘down’ Survivors by striking them with their weapon or power. ‘Downed’ Survivors can then be carried and hung onto Hooks available across the map. Hook a Survivors three times kills and sacrifices them, reducing the total amount of Survivors on the match by one.
The Survivors win if they successfully power the Generators, open the Exit Gates, and escape with their lives. The Killer wins when the majority of Survivors are sacrificed.
