Arknights: Endfield Brings Updates and Events This August
Gamescom Booth, Fortnite Skin, and Steam Release
Arknights: Endfield confirmed that the game is finally heading to Steam, alongside a return to Gamescom 2026 and the launch of its Perlica skin in Fortnite. These announcements arrive together in the earlier half of August, giving fans plenty to look forward to as the game heads into the latter half of the year. It's clear Arknights: Endfield has stayed busy throughout 2026, moving from its beta test to full launch, rolling out OST releases and major updates, and even running a limited Happy Lemon collaboration event.
Between convention stops and platform expansions, GRYPHLINE has geared heavily toward offline events to keep the game in front of new audiences since launch. The studio's presence at Anime Expo and Japan Expo earlier this year reportedly pulled in tens of thousands of visitors combined. Arknights: Endfield will also be making stops at Anime NYC alongside its Gamescom appearances, suggesting the team sees convention circuits and live events as a core part of its marketing and community outreach.
Arknights: Endfield Returns to Gamescom
The game holds a spot once more at Gamescom 2026, running August 26 to 30 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, occupying two booths, B012 and B021, in Hall 8.1. The developers have been rolling out booth details on X (Twitter), with a first post outlining the Boss Challenge, Hero Shot photo op, mission-based freebies, and a Lucky Draw for exclusive rewards.
A follow-up post added more to the lineup, confirming a stage schedule packed with live Endfield performances, daily Boss Speedrun Finals, and Developer Talks featuring special guests, along with cosplayers bringing various Endfield characters to life throughout the event. Attendees will also be able to jump into the Boss Challenge demo against Triaggelos, Nefarith, or Alleikhreos, with clear times feeding into a live leaderboard that can qualify top runs for the Daily Boss Speedrun Final. A separate Stamp Collection Event rewards attendees for completing activities like photo ops, boss runs, social shares, and a player survey.
This year marks a notable step up from Gamescom 2025, where Arknights: Endfield operated out of a single booth at B021. That earlier setup still drew more than 35,000 visitors and over 6,000 hands-on demo players, earning the game a nomination for Best Mobile Game at the 2025 Gamescom Awards. With the game now fully launched and running two booths instead of one, this year's presence looks set to build up their growing player base.
Steam Version on the Way
Arknights: Endfield's Steam page is now live, letting players add the game to their wishlist ahead of a release date that has yet to be announced. The game currently runs on PlayStation 5, PC through its official launcher and the Epic Games Store, and mobile via iOS and Android, making the Steam listing an effort to reach one of PC gaming's largest storefronts.
To build the hype ahead of launch, the developers are running a Wishlist Milestone Event. Reaching 30,000 wishlists unlocks 8,000 T-Creds, 100,000 grants two Elementary Cognitive Carriers, 200,000 adds two Arms INSP Sets, and hitting 300,000 awards those with a commemorative portrait frame, all claimable once the game releases on the platform.
Perlica Available in Fortnite Until August 21
Apart from those events, the previously teased Arknights: Endfield x Fortnite crossover officially released the Perlica Outfit on August 14th. As Endfield Industries' Supervisor and one of the first Operators players recruited in-game, Perlica is one of the more recognizable faces in the cast, making her a natural pick to headline the crossover. The outfit is priced at 1,500 V-Bucks and is scheduled to remain in the Item Shop through August 21, 2026.
Players also have a free route to the skin by making a qualifying purchase inside Arknights: Endfield specifically through the Epic Games Store launcher, rather than any platform the game happens to be installed on. Although, that distinction has tripped up a number of players: Reddit users detail several accounts of fans buying passes or bundles without realizing the transaction needed to run through Epic's own checkout system to be counted for the Perlica outfit. In other instances, even after linking their Epic account, players checked their inventory only to see that the skin never arrived.
While it still hasn’t been officially addressed, some have resolved the issue by reinstalling the game through the Epic Games launcher and repurchasing through its payment wrapper, while others reported ongoing back-and-forth with Epic and GRYPHLINE support without a clear resolution. Fans Buzzing Around All the Events
Reaction across the announcements has been largely positive, though each piece of news drew its own kind of response. The Gamescom reveals generated the most excitement on X, with peripheral brands and fans alike chiming in to show support, while others expressed disappointment at not being able to attend and asked whether the team might bring a similar setup to conventions closer to home in the future.
Not every reply held that same tone, as other fans picked apart smaller details. With a few users asking why certain cosplayers shown in the promotional material didn't appear to match the characters they were meant to represent, another wondered which staff would be a part of the Developer Talks lineup. The Fortnite crossover has been more of a mixed bag in comparison: several longtime Endfield fans reacted to the collab with hesitation about how Perlica would fit alongside Fortnite's cast, while others voiced frustration specifically over the redemption process, with comments warning fellow players to read the fine print carefully before buying.
